The 68 vette looked like a chopped dropped and stretched out 68 camaro that’s why I believe the 69 body was changed

I always favored the 1967 ,better looking and lighter than 1969s
I like having the wing vent window and the ignition in the dash where it belongs, I have owned all 3 first gen cars but only kept my 1967 RS/SS ,396/325 HP original metal with turbo 400 trans

I live in a small po-dunk hillbilly town in Tennessee now. Tazewell Tn. There is one small chevy dealership. When I saw it I couldn't believe it. On the showroom floor is a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro. Not just any Camaro. A SS convertible. White and orange. And the Indianapolis 500 pacecar. The rarest 69 Camaro ever. Sitting in a one McDonald's town. Lol

I had a 67 Camaro in 1976. Beautiful car, 54,000 miles 4 speed, full console with the factory tach and gauges. The biggest problem was the mono leaf spring rear suspension. Every time I let out the clutch the back wheels would hop and jump from the springs warping and flexing. Making the whole car jump and shudder. Not a good design. The Muncie linkage for the gear shifter was constantly binding up and sticking between gears. The fuel economy was non existent. Doing the speed limit at the time on the freeways of 55mph, you could watch the fuel gauge move towards empty. If I had more time and money I could have fixed all that, but I didn't, so for me it was the worst car I ever owned. Beware if you're thinking of buying a 67.

I Had a 1967 SS Big Block Camaro with a 4 Speed transmission that I bought in 1984 from a guys nephew. I drug it out of a DITCH and towed it home. The engine wound up being a 1969 iron head 427. The Uncle bought the car new in 67 and pulled the 396 out and put in the 427. The car Was Fast.I sold it in 1994 but probably should of kept it.

There are many reasons to buy a 1969 Camaro... if you can afford one. I only need one reason: the car is a work of art. Classic, understated, powerful. Not a line gone astray, and nothing added that would detract from its simple beauty. A masterpiece, and probably the only truly memorable design from GM in 1969, and for a LONG time after that.

I went to a local car show back in 2016 with my newly purchased 57 Black 210. Post all original metal Arizona car that I'd looked for, for years!!! I was 66 at this time and a younger person stopped by commenting my 57 was one of the straightest he'd ever seen,..Thanks!!! After talking to him for quite a while I asked he had a car at the show and he did and we walked over and he showed me his car. I honestly don't. remember what it was ...but I do remember that he said he always wanted... a 69 Z/28 Camaro!!!
Soon a lady, that I worked with at a very large company,, walked up and started talking to me and then the car guy that I had just met walked back up and wanted to know how his Mom knew me?? She explained that I was the guy that lived in their old neighborhood that had taken him for a ride in his car because he was so CRAZY about it and she had asked me if I would take him for a ride ,,,and I did.,
Her sons reply was...I knew I knew you ,,, your the neighbor that I met when you loaned my Dad your brand new Walker floor jack so we could take the worn out 4 speed out of our 66 Corvette and then you rebuilt it for us with spare parts you had.. I still remember you telling my Dad if he put one scratch on the jack he'd have to buy you a new jack, He took very good care of it.
The car we went for a ride was my purchased new in 1968, 68 RS Z/28 Camaro.( Sequoia Green w/White Stripes). It's a fairly low (42,000) mile rust free car only because I was starting college and I stored the car and bought a 70 VW to beat around in. The Camaro is still in my Garage and I"m 73. Most people back then sold their cars because gas got expensive and hard to find.

I don't care. 2nd Gen Camaros rule. I was a senior st FSU IN 1970 and a guy I met came back after early Spring Break from Pompano Beach and bought one of the first 1970 Z28's from Slaton Chevrolet. It was Shadow Grey with a rare black vinyl roof, 4 speed, LT-1 and 3.73 gears. Monster beautiful muscle car that was very docile and trackable around town UNTIL you put your foot in it and the car just launched. Since I was a Senior, I got to drive the car on campus and so it was registered in my name. Again 2nd Gen Camaros from 70-73 are THE best.

😉👍
