Hi Kristin. I fully understand the benefits of solo travel, but my main concern is safety. Your experiences in regards of having great strangers help you from gaining new social experiences to having car trouble was so fortunate as some people are predators where they could have tried to lure you into a trap. If you travel with trusted people from home, you'll have second eyes on you and would be ready to help in case a unforeseen event was to occur from freak medical issues such as heart attacks to being lured by predators.
ОтветитьSolo travel for me is a terrible feeling
ОтветитьSee how serious I am about traveling, I found that the Jeep shall be a problem, so I think this Toyota Tacoma truck should be good enough, then after that I will start to look for boats that I will rebuild and remodel. My friend is buying me the truck as we speak from the auction, after I try it, I will buy another and similar truck for my mom in Toronto, Canada, and drive to her after adding extra steps that she might need, she is an 85 years old, and I am happy that I bought her a small car. Everyday she is driving, I am very happy. You and I can have and drive one truck, when you live with me. I have to drive my mom's truck to her, so if you live with me. WE can drive her truck and return with airplanes, or drive the trucks, ours and my mom's truck, and return tio Florida with our truck. This way I can introduce you to my mom.
ОтветитьDon't let Johnny FD sell you any Ukrainian real estate.
ОтветитьHey I really enjoy your videos! :)
ОтветитьEnjoy your travel videos, especially individual travel.
ОтветитьI'm planning my first solo travel at the end of this year - nothing big, just four days - and I am glad I found your video. It may sound stupid, but hearing that not everything has to be perfect or things might not go as I planned and that's OK helped relieve some of my anxiety. Thank you for that! 💐
ОтветитьYou are a great inspiration! I'm starting to plan for slow travel today!
ОтветитьGiving this information to solo travelers, especially women is vital! Thank you so much!
ОтветитьI'm planing on doing a solo trip to scandanavia next year. I feel like I need to do this so I can be own my own. But the next trip I do id like to do with a group. I just need to be able to decide where I go

ОтветитьOh my goodness! So inspiring! I am 60. And last year started travelling again overseas! I took my 14 year old to Vietnam( from Oz) ! It was so much fun! He loved it! And I was in heaven again! Gorgeous!
ОтветитьNo more solo travel or feeling lonely with me, you got brain wash, that you need to undue, see how lucky you are to be in America to do that, that the entire world humnaity suffer from for over 10,000 years and allowed their fake relgions and governmnet sytem to slave them. Evrything we pay or ask for was supposed to be for free, even our sexual urges are normal. Men and women were free and equal, all our habbits and urges, we inhurted from our creators who gave us biological birth. I just do not like to go away from Latin America, with our American flag we will be lucky if pirots never took us. Can you imagine being taking away what will happen to us? This is the world we are living in, the safest country to be around is America, OK. Also, can we drive to Mexico, all the way south even passed Costa Rica, we will do that a lot, OK. So where to buy The white Jeep Wrangler truck to b with us? And where is the cheepest place first to buy at least 60 foot power / sail boat that I will remodel, then where to buy cheap parts and cheap labor. We can live on the boat close to people and city that you trust, then we can travel with the boat later on.
ОтветитьNice video. I can’t recall who said it, but it’s true. Nothing broadens the mind like travel.
ОтветитьYou can also easily accrue a high body count - especially if you’re an attractive woman, and whoever marries you will sadly be the last one (maybe) with the leftover of all those before him.
ОтветитьThank you so much for this video! Just reiterates and articulated how much and why I love to solo travel and how enriching and fulfilling it is!
ОтветитьDone it many times. 71 countries and no great problems. Most interesting was photographing exotic butterflies in Costa Rica, Did you try that ? Most Challenging was Albania. Getting around on the local busses with a huge language barrier. Tip, teenagers are more likely to speak some English than their parents. Worst experience was fighting off aggressive beggars in Sao Paula Brazil.
ОтветитьI am a traveling pet sitter and am starting to expand internationally!

Ответитьhii, im new here
ОтветитьBeatiful white girl, as a black male I always travel solo for my tricks in South America and Thailand
ОтветитьTraveling solo also adds to the spontaneity of your time. Less time deciding or waiting on other to get out on the next adventure.
ОтветитьHola Kristin, I have been traveling alone for 7 years now. Being 66 yo it's not as easy to meet people who have the same type of life. What I miss more is to be hable to share the beauty you see with other people. Loneliness is often there in front of a beautiful sunset.
ОтветитьVery true and thank you for sharing your journey! I do completely agree with you.
ОтветитьI want to solo travel but definitely am nervous about it.
ОтветитьI am too reserved to solo travel.
Ответитьjust the video I needed...am planning a solo trip in my 50s!!!
ОтветитьGood alliteration - pickpocketing, pizza, Prague...
ОтветитьVery helpful. Loneliness is my biggest concern.
ОтветитьGreat video. I'm 62 and planing on going solo travel to Europe .you are so wise guess it gets with assimilating experiences in a different way. Thaks
ОтветитьTraveling on your own (regardless of one's sex) it is always an adventure.
Now, adventures can put you in difficult and dangerous situations as it have been documented from people all over the world.
Traveling gives you an experience that one can not find in books or videos and at the same time makes one mature and grow in ways never imagined.
Common sense is often forgotten by people who feel welcomed in unfamiliar places and sometimes can lead to tragic consequences.
Traveling on your own without some sort of a plan is never recommended, specially to countries that the locals are way poorer than you.
A traveling plan must include to have someone, trusty that is, in those places to guide you and make you aware of the dangerous situations you can unexpectedly run into.
Going on your own without some kind of network is frankly suicidal.
Familiarizing oneself, by learning as much as possible, before hand, about the places one goes is a must.
Landing in an unfamiliar place, without the benefit of knowing the local language, the political situation, the customs, foods and ways of life is always a call for trouble.
Again, common sense must prevail anywhere, even in your own country. Why not anywhere else?.
You are a brave woman and obviously, despite the bad experiences, you have thrived as a solo traveler.
Greetings from Toronto.
as you will soon be getting tired of the English cuisine are you considering spreading your wings and trying on Ukraine?
ОтветитьI am planning to travel solo next year for a long period of time!
Ответить"people just want to help you"... Oh boy! Does this depend on who you are. I'm a an olive skinned male. No one wants to help me. Suspicion is the first reception in almost all situations. You have to be extra polite soft-spoken and meek just to get a lukewarm reception.
ОтветитьYou have a certain poise and self-possession, Kristin, that is very appealing. If that's partly the product of travel, I want some.
ОтветитьTraveling alone is good for the brain. It is the only time I write poetry and reflect deeply.
ОтветитьSolo traveling is one of the best ways to get to know yourself better and gain confidence!
ОтветитьLovely! First time here and subscribed now. Just started solo travelling last year. First solo travel was to Maasai Mara
ОтветитьI am really curious to know how, many people traveling all around the world, while I can’t even afford to travel to another state?
ОтветитьThank you so much for all your videos! They are super useful! And that Tortuga backpack will come sooo in handy!!! Hehe :)
