why do you always hand hold your clip on mic? I know you're thinking better audio? the whole idea of them is to be hands free. I find it more of a visual distraction when watching you, but I really do appreciate your videos. just my 2 cents.
Ответитьlooks like you are charging for your time than client problem solving
ОтветитьCreative fee?
Ответитьis this title a typo? "production week company 1"? 👉🏼 Production Company Week 1
ОтветитьFinally getting to watch this, and these are coming out fantastic! Keep it up man, can't wait to watch the rest 🙌
ОтветитьThx for the video, it was very inspiring.
ОтветитьGonna follow this closely. Barely started a journey on filmmaking and this info is amazing.
ОтветитьHow have you liked Bark? I was just looking into it before I clicked play. I'm in web design and marketing.
ОтветитьLoving the videos man. I’m on the same journey and seeing someone go through the same process is really inspiring and encouraging. Keep it up brother, you’re doing awesome
ОтветитьThis was probably my favorite video so far. I would love to see you go more in depth on how you find these businesses you have called/emailed. That part is definitely the most challenging in my experience.
ОтветитьGreat video man, really inspiring and lots of great info!
Ответитьthis is fun! I’m looking forward to the following along with this journey! Thank you for all your transparency Jared 🙏🏻
ОтветитьYou check in your camera ?? thats rolling the dice IMHO , Think Tank Airport international case is what you need . Fx6 is a tiny camera, plenty of room with batts , and some lenses . Take it all cabin baggage . How did they manage to bend all the pins though ,with no battery on , thats a bit weird .
ОтветитьWow. Watching this for the first time. Thinking of doing the same thing in London... Subscribed dude.
ОтветитьThis was very informative, def will be following for when i move to the next stage
Ответитьbro watching these videos are like watching someone complete the production to do list sitting on my white board in like an alt world. Budgeting for a large projects, mood boards, networking on set. love the videos, commenting for engagement hope the channel grows
ОтветитьThanks for sharing the journey! Formalizing my prod co in on my list this winter...
ОтветитьFellow Videographer that recently went full-time. I love this style of content - you're going to do MASSIVE THINGS. Cya on top!
ОтветитьCrazy timing on the Cam video series, I recommended him a little bit back. His series is the real deal man.
ОтветитьI always carry on the cam and batts when flying. Really like the Smallrig v-mount plate better than other designs specifically because it leave the camera battery slot open, so you can keep a back up battery in there. When the v-mount dies, cam switches to the other battery, doesn’t stop recording, you can then hot swap the v-mount
ОтветитьYour wife’s ability and yours together is a super power
ОтветитьLove from Sri Lanka 🇱🇰❤ Excited to see the progress!
ОтветитьLets go, hyped to see the progress!
ОтветитьAnother great video man! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
ОтветитьWait! TSA did what?!?! You don't lock your camera cases?
ОтветитьWhen I started I was like, easy! Then I realized I had to learn all the stuff that makes the business work! Ha ha 😂 still in the process!
Ответитьwhere do you find theses type of clients?
ОтветитьCongrats on making the jump man, I branded my own production company this past year and its been a really cool experience. I still crew with other production co’s but I think working direct to client has been a missing piece to the puzzle for me. Excited to see more of your journey!
ОтветитьHey Jarad. Love the content. How do you handle/manage your legal?
ОтветитьAs someone in a similar spot, I love this walk through for starting your company.
SEO is something I haven't done much with but somehow I have gotten calls from people who have found me on google. Make sure all your site pages have seo descriptions and alt-text.
I agree, don't line item. I always put a "pre-production" segment on the breakdown (without the price) but that's where my cut lies. Since I have to be in the meetings, I have to make the connections, that's time. So its a mix of your "pre-pro" and "creative fee". But the client doesn't see that.
Make sure to add meal cost to your travel. I normally add 25 per crew member. And then maybe budget 100 for a crafty table. Clients love a crafty table.
Frameset is awesome. One of my favorite inspo sites.
I may be late here, recent subscriber. Hello! What’s your connection to Space Station Gaming (SSG)? What did you do before getting into video production?
ОтветитьLove to see it Jared, keep it up!
Ответитьyou are a breath of fresh air in these new landscapes of media entrepreneurship. Thank you.
ОтветитьLet's goooo. I'm here for this
ОтветитьBest of luck to you with your production company! Very interesting pivot, and hope you keep making videos about it so we can follow along.
ОтветитьGreat video Jared.
ОтветитьI always wanted to start my own production company, but I'm just not built for entrepreneur life and the market I live in isn't sustainable for what I need to bring in every month... So thankfully I found a full-time job that will allow me to what I love, travel a bit, with benefits, and have a steady pay check with pretty decent gear! :)
ОтветитьI really enjoyed that call with your friend he has a lot of gems. We need more him
ОтветитьAs somebody who started a small production company last year this is extremely inspiring. I personally face the same struggles with pricing, finding new clients and just in general investing time into the business side of things. Keep up the great content!
ОтветитьCanva is so useful! You can make something look professional or just good-looking really fast and easy.
Your wife touching the macbook display triggers me so much xD
love the transparency
ОтветитьI bit I'm your only subscriber from Yemen. 😅🎉
ОтветитьIt feels good to watch something we can relate to. Keep going and with your work ethics you'll build that production company. 🔥
ОтветитьSo excited to this side of your journey!
ОтветитьHeyyy you got the famous Sean Do in the crew!
ОтветитьGreat vid as always, man! Really enjoying watching your journey. Totally agree with your friend. People want to work with people that they like. It's super clear that you're going to find lots of success in this space!
ОтветитьLoving your videos, bro. Thank you for the transparency.
ОтветитьI literally just bought the 16.4V Sony battery so that I could have the biggest option possible
Incase my V mount has any issues.
Glad you were able to have someone fix it tho
