Most soap operas are garbage! They are also deliberately made by enemies to brainwash Turkish people so they become less Turkish and weak. Media and schools in Türkiya are in the hands of the enemies! Very strange as Erdoğan been in power for 20 years, this is an area he completely has failed.

im pakistani american and visited in 2012 and loved the asian side...sadly i see a lot of racism, which is not something i have experienced even with the massive turkish community in new jersey, againstsyrians afghans and bizarrely pakistanis (i dont think they even exist as a community there). So I'm afraid to visit again

Nature, in Istanbul. Pah, as a 31 year old Turkishman who lived in Odessa, Ukraine from 2010 to 2020, I can say Istanbul has next to no ''nature'' except for only specific spots.

15 years ago, the city felt breathable nowadays most of it is an ugly mish mash of concrete and seeing woods in Bosphorus area doesn't really change that.

That's like thinking New York is just the Time Square, Manhattan and Queens

Haha Turkish soap operas are very popular lol. Lot of them are really silly but full of cliffhangers so you get hooked easily 😂😂😂

I was also in Kocaeli. My Turkish friend invited me to breakfast. What he called breakfast had nothing to do with the breakfast that I know 😅 Olive, cheese, tomato, cucumber, egg and a mixture of butter and honey spread on toasted bread and tea, I think, is one of the brightest ideas in the world 😄

Generally, people see Turkey as Arab-Islamic countries, which is a huge mistake because there is an unchangeable law in the Turkish constitution, which is secularism. Especially in Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir, millions of secular Turkish Muslims live but you know western countries want to see our more "conservative" side.

Are you aware that 100 years ago these people perpetrated a final genocide on the remaining Greek and Armenian Christians of Anatolia.
