I first heard of them when they made an appearance on the amazing show Tremé...they were on for just a brief time but wow they blew me away. I immediately looked them up and have been hooked ever since.

I love Tuba Skinny! They're making me happy every time I hear them. A friend here in Sweden took his family to NOLA a few weeks ago to listen to jazz and of course they heard Tuba Skinny. I'm so jealous!
The only thing I miss in TS is the tenor saxophone. The sound is so lovely and it fitted so well in TS when they had him (I've forgotten his name).

A well deserved award for an absolutely WONDERFUL company of skilled musicians. They make such great, traditional music - and they're well known over the pond, here in the UK.
