4L60E TRANSMISSION INSTALL || EASY

Good video but does anybody know where the ground wire goes bolted to, my mechanic went MIA in the middle of my transmission job and I’m trying to finish installing it myself?

I lost connection from the TCM to the ECM on my Tahoe, my car had caught on fire and it burned some of the wires. Not sure if it got to any of the wires that have to do with the transmission connection but do I have to remove the crossmember and my starter just to get to the transmission connectors? Also, how much should it cost for somebody to check the connectors for me?

Hey man I have a question. I’m putting the bolt back in the flex plate and torque converter and as I was threading in the first one I heard and felt the torque converter slide forward. Is that ok?

My truck will start and I can shift but the vehicle itself will not move. I need help Please and Thank You.

Is the reason for the fluid over flow the fact that you didn't run the trans long enough to get the torque converter filled back up?

Thats like the least accurate torque method I've seen. If any extension is needed it should be a 1 solid extension not multiple linked together. The further away you are from the fastener torque loss increases even more so when there are several joints between the leverage and the fastener instead of a solid extension. You should add about 2-3 lbs over with that many extensions

What did you torque the 6 bellhousing bolts to?

As for the torque converter being too far back when needing to mount it to the flywheel, it CAN be adjusted if you’ve already bolted the transmission to the engine. It’s not ideal, but, it can be done.

Whats the tq spec for the bell houseing?

Very relatable dog laying down right in the middle. When I work on my truck I put down cardboard, and when I go to get tools she comes over and lays on my cardboard.

helpful tip if you cant get to the top bolts pull the intake and it right there in your face

Just to make it a little easier for yall if you have someone else when you get to the torque converter bolts get them to put a socket on the crank pulley and turn it

When you bolted the torque converter did you measure the air gap or just bolted it right back up

Very nice work! I’m doing my own work. Removed my 4L60e and I am about install reman trans in place of it. My question now is, does it need to be reprogrammed? It is a 2012 4x4 Silverado. And if so, can I drive it to a nearby shop.?

Is the bell housing torqued at 45bl as well

Does your torque converter got to be full of ATF

Just put everything back together yesterday but when I turned it on I noticed I had an exhaust leak? Can I just unbolt it and realign it without taking off the cross member also how do I take
Out some atf if I over filled? Mine does not have a drain plug on the bottom of my transmission
