Your application is correct although the explaination is incorrect. When the base currency is stronger than the quote currency the pair will be bullish and when the base currency is weaker the pair will be bearish. USD is currently gaining strength hense USDJPY is on overrall buys but USD came out weaker on the CPI hense USDJPY sold for that moment then later continued with buys as the USD is currently stronger or gaining strength overrall as the base currency

I also tried to out shine the master and learnt the hard way

If USD gains strength, then the chart goes up. 1 USD = 156.019 (JPY) so if the usd gains strength, you’ll need more of JPY to be = to USD, that’s the reason the chart will go up

The reason the chart has been rising is because USD has been gaining strength/ becoming stronger . Check how gold have fallen because of the increase in strength of the USD.

GBPUSD , we all know that the left side in the meta trader app is for sells and the right is for buys , for example if GBP is stronger than USD that means the pair is selling . Why ? bro you're wrong, if USD is strong; it means USDJPY will be bullish and XAUUSD will bearish, if USD is weak USDJPY will be bearish and XAUUSD will be bullish..
in the case of JPY being strong, USDJPY will be bearish, if it is weak USDJPY will be bullish . if gold is strong it will buy and if gold is weak it will sell .. I think you might have the right idea but you explanation didn't align with it
