Can wait to try thanks Dan. You make this look way too easy!! Lots of mental scars to remove with my chipping.
ОтветитьCan these be practiced on artificial turf mats? Or does it need to be on grass to make the different releases effective?
ОтветитьGot Dan's book for Father's Day and I have to say it is an easy read with get explanations of the releases and the mentality of choosing the right shot for the situation.
ОтветитьExcellent explanation and demonstration! Very simple and clear!
ОтветитьJust watched you helping Jimmy Bullard, now subscribed
ОтветитьThanks .. DG .. I’m really struggling with chipping and pitching, costing me points every round .. just bought your book!! ⛳️
ОтветитьThis video was perfect for me alongside the book. Dans a genius
ОтветитьWhat would you suggest for serious uphill lies and against the grain? Ball position, club selection to avoid digging and club getting grabbed
ОтветитьHi Dan love your videos. Got a question on if we are hitting behind the ball or divot is happening after
ОтветитьWhy is he only talking into my left ear?
ОтветитьDan, do you have a soft copy book on Amazon ? And those reading linked to your videos
ОтветитьLove your book and these videos are like the cherry on top. Thank you 👍🏼
Ответитьwondering ball position, stanch width and distance from ball for all 3 releases. Thanks in advance. Paul.
ОтветитьThis has been so much easier for me than hinge and hold. I applied all these to my 60 yards in shots and its been super useful. Going on a year of practicing this and its only been better results. Hinge and hold obviously works, phil shows that without a doubt, but im too clumsy to consistently pull it off. Lift my head 9/10 times because im dense. But greives for some reason keeps me so focused on release point relative to swing position that im more absorbed in the swing and less concerned with seeing my ball
ОтветитьWell done
ОтветитьI’ve told people that they can get golf lessons on the internet from people who would normally charge serious dollars for a 30 min lesson. This is a prime example.
ОтветитьI've bought your book and it's perfectly explained. It adds a lot to be able to see you execute it. Thank you very much for sharing your technique; my short game has improved greatly.
ОтветитьDan, your book is excellent, it really adds to all your videos (that I've watch mulitple times)
Over the past couple of months I have practiced alot on my short game and distance control. I went out for a round today, and shot my best round in a very long time, my short game was on point.
Thank you for all your videos and especially the book, which is highly recommended to anyone reading this ⛳️ 🏌️♀️
How much do you open the club for each release
ОтветитьDan I've Always Struggled with My Short game so I've been watching Your Video and Today hit The Golf Course
Where Do I begin I was hitting Chips and Pitch shots like a Pro ( Maybe a slight Exaggeration) But for someone who Thins and chunks shots it was Nothing short of a Miracle it got to The Stage where I was actually looking forward to playing chip shots Thank you so much keep up The Good work I play off 12 (now I have a short game) Maybe come The Summer I just might reach the Holy Grail of Single Figures 🏌️😉
Just got thru the first chapters in the book. VERY good instructions! I got so much better because of you, thank you so much!
ОтветитьGood video but the camera man needs to back up on the face on shots, we can’t see anything below your waist until it’s DTL.
ОтветитьBeen utilizing release 1 and 2 and slowly but surely it’s improving my game. Had 5 up and downs and 8 1 putts last weekend which were a personal best for me. These release methods work, thanks Dan!
ОтветитьDan is the man
ОтветитьBrilliant thank you
ОтветитьWe need more Dan!
Enjoying the book by the way!!!
Is there a release for irons?
Got the book for Xmas and its made massive difference - not yet graduated to release 3!! Release 1 is giving me great consistency with distance and lower flight and no Chunks or thins. But I always seem to be to the right of target when the ball rolls out. Is the solution simply to aim further left at setup or am i missing something in the process itself?
ОтветитьStarted hia techniques last summer and I hit shots I never hit before. It was incredible. Had some struggles recently (some hosel shots using R2), but I’ll keep on grinding. He’s great.
ОтветитьI like this very much. Interesting how we each “trigger” the releases in different ways. My release one is activated with left thumb and release two and three are activated with right index finger pressure point but each has a different right wrist hinge trigger. Like you said, release 3 is more deliberate about “swinging” the head past the hands and into the holdster. Dan do you think about finger pressure - left vs right hand to help with these releases?
ОтветитьChipped in for birdie twice this week thanks to release 1. Thanks for the tips.
ОтветитьI love your technique! It actually works and is much easier to implement than other techniques. Its now my chipping method.
THANK YOU!
Don’t get me wrong I love this guy. And I’ve literally practice these like a champ. But from one Dan to another, I don’t think (EVER) my ball sits on top of the grass ever with some fluffy grass underneath to scoop under. It’s almost zero unless I move my ball in play to a softer spot. I mean is that just my misfortunes or am I missing something here
ОтветитьI worry about being to “flippy” with my wrists in this method—especially release 3. How do you avoid flipping head to the ball?
ОтветитьUntil I watched Dan’s videos and purchased his book my short game was hit and miss, the technique is so well explained I am confident my handicap will soon start falling
Many thanks Dan
Dan, i have practiced your release methods now for 3 months. i keep stats which show i have improved so much from 50 yards and in.But on the golf course my short game is then awful.any help please
ОтветитьSpectacular lesson! Liked and subscribed! Cheers!
ОтветитьWith release 1 you mention that the hands are high and you stand closer to the ball. This raises the heel off the ground a touch. Do you address the ball off the middle of the club face or towards the toe?? Thanks
ОтветитьNovice golfer here who has recently bought your book. Finding it excellent and have noticed a marked improvement in my short game. many thanks!
ОтветитьWhat makes me laugh are the guys that have a watched a "Phil Mickelson chipping class" and believe the opposite of this (de-lofting every club, hands well in front of ball, wrist in super bowed position). Phil can do that because he's one of the 15 best golfers ever, has chipped/pitched about 500k practice balls in his life and has elite leading edge and low-point control. The margin for error for this method is just so low - even for low handicap golfers. The way DG teaches this is the ONLY way 99% of golfers should ever be thinking about chipping and pitching. Thanks for posting 🙏
Ответитьwhere are the ball positions for eac h releases?
ОтветитьIs the chipping yips bad technique or is it in the head
ОтветитьHi Dan no Bull I love it.
ОтветитьWhen I first saw the video with Rick shields and Dan said release three should have the handle facing down. I was like how is this feasible. IT IS and is amazing the results! Thanks DAN
ОтветитьI thought the three releases were the fat, the thin and the shank 🤔
ОтветитьThis is the best short game advice ever. One question though - how does the bounce on the wedge impact the releases? I have a 54 deg wedge with 12 bounce and find it a bit difficult, especially for release 2 & 3.
ОтветитьI do this and just thin it 🤷♂️
ОтветитьI use the Rule of 12 for release1.
ОтветитьWhat is the best approach on a lie that has no bounce. For example, a wet and muddy lie?
