This movie the music and the romance made my heart SOAR when I first saw it in theaters in high school! And back then I identified as ace and actively avoided dating and romance!

I’m a beauty and the beast Stan and I always thought the live action was better then what most ppl gave it credit for. Was it better than the original? No. Was it still an amazing production with beautiful scenery and music? Yes.

I finally watched this movie and I came here because this scene was magical! It made me tear up. The music, their movements, the motion of the dress, the fact that it is a legendary scene and they made it so beautiful and unique and... magical!! I loved it so much :')

Trying to push realistic visuals on something that’s supposed to look magical will never work. That’s why this movie is so… bland.

Am I the only one to think the Beast's eyes and mouth look too human? Had it been me, I would've made them look more like the eyes and mouth of a boar.
Also, it felt cheap to have Mrs. Potts have her mouth and eyes just painted on the side, rather than 3D features on the front, with the spout as the nose.
I don't know if they did that to be cheap or to avoid scaring the kids, but I tend to believe the former. Animating human-like features is cheaper than animating features of a creature that doesn't exist, because you can just record the performance of an actor and put it on a texture. And animated a texture of eyes and a mouth painted on ceramic is cheaper than animating a full polygonal model of a teacup.

I really love how they made the dress move with the CGI as that’s one of the iconic things about the dress in the original film.
