Wow ❤
ОтветитьGlamourous
ОтветитьLovely ❤
ОтветитьWonderful video 👗
ОтветитьWeren't hoops used beneath the skirt during the 1860's (Instead of or in addition to the crinoline)?
Ответить1860's
Ответить1860s dresses absolutely insane. How could you move or sit down in those 1860s dresses
ОтветитьImagine being born in like 1850 and having to get a new dress every single year because the styles changed so much
ОтветитьHuge skirts starting 1848. I really hate after 1930 how dresses for women rapidly went down
Ответить1874 vs 1876 massive change
ОтветитьYes, the raised waist is more recognizably Second Empire. Beautiful selection, Thank you.
ОтветитьOMG I wished I lived in those years only for the dresses 😍😍🥰
ОтветитьThe first decade, because of the more natural shape and the softer fabrics. However, I think most of the hats from this period were rather silly and infantilizing.
Ответить
Late 1890s for me. I love the nipped in waist but without the crazy bustle. Just an elegant, feminine silhouette.
Ответить💕1860s💕
ОтветитьWhy nobody make 1bc to 2024 fashion, new fashion 2025 half blouse like half thongs men&women new fashion
ОтветитьAt the Perth Museum in Western Australia I fell in love with an 1840s dress. The silhouette looked a lot like the dress you featured for 1836, but plainer fabric. So that's a current favourite, early Victorian. But as a child the crinoline was my favourite, as in 1863! 😊
Ответить1886 and 1808
Ответить1880 was stunning. Would love to have a modern dress in that style
ОтветитьI Love this so much ✨💖✨Thank you for creating such a great video ! *:)
ОтветитьThese would be look nice now even Catherine is tall and slender
Would look nice wearing these
1883 FOREVER!!!
Ответитьfavourite decades in order from most to least: 1860s, 1880s, 1810s. Least favorite decades: 1840s and 1830s (the shoulder part looks odd but it might just be because of the mannequins
ОтветитьThese are all beautiful dresses, but they are for women that come from wealthy families or had wealthy husbands. Would it be possible to see what the average woman would have worn? The middle class down to the woman who works on her family farm. My female ancestors would not have worn the beautiful dresses seen in this video. They would have worn simple dresses and would not have followed the fashions of the day. I am interested in what the hard working women of this decade would have worn.
ОтветитьMy favourite is the natural form era - so elegant!! 😍
ОтветитьSorry but there were some really ugly dresses
Ответить1890s were elegant, 1860s w a huge back bump is crazy, hard not 2 bump into others
Ответитьwhat sorces did you use in this video?
Ответить1860 kind of
Ответитьthe 1820's they had the best sleeves! Why are modern sleeves soo boring?!
ОтветитьThe early 1800's . The look far more comfortable - n so many ways.
ОтветитьExtremely interesting, thank you! ❤ We can see how the fashion changes with a new monarch.
For me the most elegant dresses are in 1830 - the reign of Louis-Philippe and in 1852 - the second Empire (Napoleon III).
1810s ❤
ОтветитьStop the hectic music
Ответитьthis was so helpful, thank you. i love early regency and the gorgeous big skirts of the 1850s and 60s
Ответитьthis was fantastic, thank you. I'm writing a book set in victorian england right now so this was extremely helpful! I wonder if there are any handy reference books with this sort of information you (or anyone else) might recommend?
P.S. my favourite is any year with a bustle 😂 gotta love a bustle
How the heck did the women sit down with that huge bustle at the back of the dress?
ОтветитьI love every one of these. This video is great, it’s very simple but informative and I especially like that you show the years in the top right corner!
ОтветитьThis is only in some countries, not the entire world.
Ответить1853 is all ive ever wanted in my life
ОтветитьCan you do a video like this but with USA fashion so i can make sure if it's the same as I need to know for research for a story i'm writing. Thanks!!
ОтветитьI was astounded by the fabrics, and the various trims for almost all the dresses. I hope the seamstresses were well paid, and complimented on their work.
ОтветитьI don’t see how you can wear the right under things with the 1808 dress!! There is a “V” cut all the way down the center back, past the shoulder blade level! You would see the stays, wouldn’t you?!
ОтветитьBustles of one type or another have been around for hundreds of years!!!
Ответить
