Most gay shit I've ever seen
ОтветитьOh, Danny boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling
From glen to glen, and down the mountain side.
The summer's gone, and all the roses falling,
It's you, it's you must go and I must bide.
But come ye back when summer's in the meadow,
Or when the valley's hushed and white with snow,
It's I'll be here in sunshine or in shadow,
Oh, Danny boy, oh Danny boy, I love you so!
But when ye come, and all the flowers are dying,
If I am dead, as dead I well may be,
You'll come and find the place where I am lying,
And kneel and say an Ave there for me.
And I shall hear, though soft you tread above me,
And all my grave will warmer, sweeter be,
For you will bend and tell me that you love me,
And I shall sleep in peace until you come to
Incredible! Can anyone tell me where the landscape shots are from? I want to visit that place!
ОтветитьWithout a doubt, this was the best rendition of Danny Boy I've ever heard. (Well maybe with the exception of in the movie Family Business because - Hollywood) The singer's voice came out over the music, clear as a bell! The walk through the cemetery and the laying of the wreath was the perfect backdrop for the whole theme of the song! And you're right too about the breathtaking Irish scenery. I'm a wee bit Irish meself, so I've got to get over there someday and see it for myself. Well done GENTRI, well done! Who says white folk got no soul?!
ОтветитьThis song was written by an Englishman
ОтветитьAll these comments wow. Wish my dad wanted me
ОтветитьHonor to the Irish brothers, from Sardinia!
ОтветитьI'm singing this song for choir and knowing the meaning behind the song touches my heart so much that I start crying in rehearsal
ОтветитьThe perfect short tune in the intro of the video and on the outro is very good in this song, it really adds the irish feeling of danny boy. Bravo!
ОтветитьI love this song, I am a proud Irishman and Scott

ОтветитьLovely rendition, one of the best.
ОтветитьTerrible / he’s right about you must go / I’ll gladly go after listening to this 🥲🤣👍😳
ОтветитьSo trippy, this is like the song You raise me up. Even the production of this video seems alot like Bringham Young University when they covered You raise me up. And its beatiful how these songs parallel one another, one song about a fathers love for a son and humanities love for God. Wow!

ОтветитьMy father committed suicide back in 2019. I was going through his old things recently and found his phone and on it he recorded himself singing this song. Made me cry because I was left with no note or explanation; and after years of feeling alone, losing my marriage, struggling to be a father to my kids I get to hear his voice again. Life has been shit. Hearing my dads voice saying “and I shall sleep in peace until you come home to me”….. I want to give up.
ОтветитьMy name is Danny.
ОтветитьNot for me, I don't like the musical arrangement.
ОтветитьA fine Irish ballad sung by three handsome and sexy Irishman

Ответитьnice
ОтветитьIt is my dad's birthday today.
He died over twenty years ago.
When I was small he used to sing this to me...
My music teacher made a joke about me because of this song.
Ответить☘❤🙏🏾❤☘
ОтветитьAgain So Beautiful ❤
ОтветитьSo sad. So many who died for a cause not their own, with no upside whatever. Let it be like this; that any politician and ruler MUST LEAD FROM THE FRONT, together with his generals and whatnot. I bet you that when we get down to colonel we take a beer, then go home. What did the Irish stand to gain from WWI? To strengthen the Dark Empire that oppressed them?
ОтветитьThis song made me think of Jack Thornton’s death in When Calls The Heart. But if it was mentioned by another person, whoops. A glorious music piece. ❤
ОтветитьI don't know why I cry my heart out every time I listen to this, I'm from India I'm not even Irish
