**Meant Samantha, not Olivia... WHOOPSY!
ОтветитьI couldn't believe how much they bastardized the first puzzle in the movie vs what actually happened in the book
ОтветитьThe book part?
ОтветитьA pitch meeting from the Late Middle Era of Pitch Meeting
ОтветитьMan, this movie makes 'Moonfall' seem like an intellectual challenge.
ОтветитьI'm glad I didn't waste my time on this movie, the book was so awesome I would only be disappointed and picking apart the ways that it was screwed up
Ответитьi think they explained in the book that there was like a wait time to log out which would've left the avatar defenseless for a little while. That's probably why they didn't log out at dancing scene
ОтветитьNo not ads
ОтветитьIt is explained in the book that if you try to remove your headset, your avatar will go AFK for a minute or so
ОтветитьThis one is the best yet. Hey you know spiderman? Yea sure, what was i talking about? I have no idea?
ОтветитьWhen the main character's only living relative (and closest thing he has to a mother) is violently murdered, along with 100s of his neighbors, and it's never mentioned again..
ОтветитьSurprised they didn't talk about how ioi looks like lol
ОтветитьBut its such a good movie...
Ответить😳😳😳
ОтветитьLol that movie was trash
ОтветитьIt was SO unfortunate that the screenplay writer changed the IOI jail segment. In the novel, Wade Watts deliberately manipulates his identity to get arrested and placed in indentured servitude within the tech support department of the IOI corporation after having memorized a very complex code that would allow him to override the security system. In the book, Art3mis is arrested and gets out SOOOO EASILY. Such a letdown.
ОтветитьI don’t really enjoy the reaching for things to talk about for a good movie.
ОтветитьI just watched the movie for the first time (yeah I'm slow) and i thought "oh i think theres a pitch meeting about this"
turns out i had already watched it... at some point.
It's funny, the line about how people play the game being inconsistent and how there should be rules, because that was one of Halliday's things, he didn't want rules
"It's OK when we do it." Pretty much sums up every corporate drone and government official in all of history, that.
ОтветитьAnyone else’s brain shut down for awhile at the realization that an Easter egg hunt in the real world would make way more sense?
ОтветитьARG
Ответить"Couldn't they just remove their VR masks and not be in danger anymore?"
Actually, kinda no if you've played a massive online game before there's usually a "feature" in massive online games that prevent you from immediately signing out of games. Even if you take off your vr mask, your character may stay in the game for 10 to 30 seconds. It prevents people from causing grief to others and immediately log out, causing danger to others but not themselves (referred to as causing grief).
If they just leave immediately, their characters likely remain online for a few seconds, thus risking their progress up until that point (including the first key). That's why they made the point in the beginning that some people nearly offed themselves for dying.
Just saying on that one point lol
Virtual reality is tight!
ОтветитьI've literally had fever dreams with more coherent stories than this movie.
ОтветитьI actually enjoyed the movie, but the future of VR has always been funny to me. As if a bunch of gamers, or anyone for that matter will ever be in good enough shape to run nonstop for hours on end on one of those treadmill things you always see.
ОтветитьI always hated this movie.
ОтветитьI was just waiting for something like
"Hey remember Silverhawks?"
"... Um, no? Why did you inturrupt me for that?"
When you're losing in a race, why not go backwards? Makes things more interesting. Unfortunately, sometimes games boot ya if you're going backwards too long during a race.
ОтветитьTo be fair though there are easter eggs that took a long time to find. Punch out for one had one that no one even knew until the game creator said it two decades after it came out.
Ответить"Hey remember__" is an incredible substitute for "Hey shut up"
Ответитьthe fact IOI is also the company that made the hitman games as well
ОтветитьThe book was actually pretty good, it was a LOT different than this movie. They should have made a movie about the book.
ОтветитьDo Encanto
ОтветитьJust re watched Ready Player One for like the i dunno time and i just realized that "hey remember (insert pop culture reference here)?" was the original "hey shutup" repeatedly. Nice. Maybe you'll do a remaster of this one
ОтветитьThe book was incredible! Hollywood writers absolutely destroyed this book.
ОтветитьSounds terrible, glad I never saw it lol
ОтветитьWhy people give ready player one so much negativity it was honestly an amazing fun movie with a cool idea. People just hated on it to hate on it
ОтветитьI wasn't really aware of product placement, mainly because.... fluff movie... so examples would have been good
ОтветитьAs some one who's work weird schedules I would understand the shut down hate 😜
ОтветитьCould someone please explain to me why woke people hated the book? And i'm not asking woke people directly here. I mean - if there would be someone who doesn't consider being woke, yet he/she does understand what was the woke people's problem with the book, that would be tight.
Ответитьi saw goro... then i forgot what this movie was about
Ответить"You do realize we're gonna have a bunch of product placements in this very movie, right?"
"Yeeah, it's okay when WE do it"
That's got to be one of the funniest and most real things I've ever heard, ever. Like as long as we aren't making light of the bad things we're doing, it's all good, baby! 😂
just watched it, all Ryan's criticisms are fair. Still the movie is a super-entertaining ride! Especially for VR nuts.
ОтветитьShouldn't the company be called Five? Because 101 is binary for ...5!!!
Also "You won't like me when you see me ( because I have a birthmark )" plot, why don't they actually have a not so cute girl with leprosy play the part? Bet you he wouldn't be so much in love then...
The creator guy hiding Easter eggs in his game so another person can take over his company reminded me of Willy Wonka and his Golden Tickets.....
ОтветитьI knew there was a reason I stopped reading this book and never watched the movie. Why are YA so lazy?
Ответить
