Apparently when they're used on civilians they're meant to call it "spiritual warfare".
ОтветитьFog, smoke, rain etc, is a thing...
ОтветитьDon't be fooled DEW's have been around for over 30 years. They were used in Iraq in the first Gulf war
ОтветитьEver see the anime AKIRA? Or read the Manga? It's like they knew about DEWs as far back as the 80s.
Ответить"Microwave Lasers"?
Which is it? Microwave or Laser? They are entirely different things. You can't mix a beam of microwave energy with light amplification by simulated emition of radiation.
I'm here in between the lines of your propaganda American hater
Ответитьfeylanks😂😂😂😂
ОтветитьWe really need a worldwide ban on shooting down any satellites or putting weapons in space. Just for the sake of space junk. It could easily snow ball and permanently fuck us over.
ОтветитьLasers are microwaves
ОтветитьGraphene for example is conductive. So DEW could be used to recharge a power systems when struck by such weapons or redirected back at the attacker. Why Simo " The White Death ". Never used a scope.
ОтветитьIt's not "Keev" Its KIEV. Russian apologist
ОтветитьA noiseless weapon
ОтветитьLasers sound like overpriced and overengineered overkill for low-flying slow drones that need to be right above their target to drop a charge. A system consisting of an automatic shotgun cannon loaded with steel 00 buckshot and with radar capability would handle these drones just fine.
ОтветитьIf they had it and it worked they would have taken out starlink satellites
ОтветитьLaser weapons are going to be the 21st-century version of killing ants with a magnifying glass from the 1960s.
ОтветитьI do not believe lasers are the great weapons everyone is trying to sell them as. We could just simply start painting everything white. Uniforms made of white material. Weapons painted white. We can also start polishing metal surfaces, to bring them to a mirror finish. White reflects most laser light, and a polished surface... of course reflects light. And that is all lasers are, it is just light. I can even envision anti-laser technology, where there are special apparatus on craft that can zero in on the lasers and actually feed the laser light back into the laser that is firing it, or even redirect it back at enemy assets.
At best, when everything is painted white, it will take significantly longer to burn through, creating time to get out of the way and/or retaliate.
The best possible application for lasers is going to be point defense. And again, this is only going to be effective until missiles/rockets are painted entirely white, or made with polished surfaces.
And a reminder, laser is just light. That is all it is, it is light. It works no different than the light the display you are reading this on, it is just more electricity powering it and incredibly focused.
LEDs are the biggest reason laser leapt forward. LED tech matured a great deal in the 90s
ОтветитьObject defense system 40mm gun with laser reflection search all around against all exportable optional drivable addable to tanks, rocket launcher etc. shooting also straight up the arrival direction of vulcano munition etc. ?
Addable laser search drones etc.
Information about stealth objects transfered to under water waiting subrocket rockets launcher, laser or needle thick metal beam ring accelerator guns 200g at 3000km/s etc.
Chris - your description of the path to the current state of the art was succinct and spot on - well done as always (I would say Sir, but wouldn't want to insult you that way).
ОтветитьJust use a flash light
ОтветитьQuestion, could you just put a reflective paint on something to prevent the laser or nah?
Ответитьsold out to recurrent who sold you out to raytheon. you are helping the people that send grunts like you to meaningless wars.
ОтветитьHmmm... interesting. Pink Floyd's dark side of the moon album cover flickered on here.
ОтветитьRaytheon sponsoring content? Thank you for the transparency, I guess.
ОтветитьI'm pretty sure the way war technology is going, sharks with laser beams are coming
ОтветитьThis makes it sound like SDI funding was all directed at lasers and failed in its short-term goals, but SDI also led to the anti-ballistic-missile (ABM) technology that helps protect us from a limited attack by North Korea, for instance.
Ответитьit's the beginning. AI controlled swarms of drones will be a thing in the not so distant future.
ОтветитьWhat you REALLY need to be asking is how satellites don't melt when they can't use convection, conduction, or radiation (fast than it is receiving) of the Sun's powerful rays.
So where does all of that heat go? Things that make you go hmmmmmmm, maybe we're being lied to!
I think the main ways AI is going to be used in the military is:
1. Processing large amounts of satellite imagery to detect potential threats.
2. Enabling swarm behaviour for drones.
3. Generating propaganda.
4. Strategy suggestions.
If this technology achieve, say good bye to the spray and pray tactic
ОтветитьIt will, I think, be necessary to authenticate the time/date/stamp those recordings, so copy and file them away out of reach.
ОтветитьLaser weapon can only be effective in space without atmosphere and in line of sight. That is, they can only be the last mile of protection against drones, for example. However, the laser has no way of intercepting JDAM, artillery shells or hypersonic missiles.
ОтветитьOh just like the DEWs that started some of these big fires
ОтветитьWho the f * are you guys😁lol
ОтветитьYAL-1 Laser may have caused the fires in Maui and Lahaina Hawaii. What they could also use is just a multi-million dollar prism and they can move it left and right, up and down, forward and backwards and It would be mounted on the nose of an aircraft similar to a KC135 or a 747 Air Force jet and they could use it to redirect the natural rays of the sun and magnify those rays to where it will have extreme heat based upon the redirection of the sun rays through the multi-million dollar prism that's in the nose and that would create a fire without any definitive source of combustion!
ОтветитьWouldn’t the solution to the laser output power simple just be add more platforms and coordinate fire? If one laser on a ship isn’t enough to takeout a target, why not equip a system on every ship in the fleet? Or add dedicated small ships which you can add in mass to that protection duty?
ОтветитьLaser weapon
ОтветитьNo, no, no. President Reagan did not label the laser program as "Star Wars".
That was the Marxist Left's unsuccessful attempt to undermine Ronald Reagan's Strategic Defense Initiative by comparing it to the now famous Star Wars science fiction film series. However, now that the many years of SDI research have developed extremely powerful laser systems, Star Wars seems easier to recall by the public.
Now that terawatt high power pulsed lasers have overcome most of the early problems with lasers (smoke and fog, distance, power requirements and range) almost all new air-to-air and ground to air weapons involve Reaganesque High Power Pulsed Lasers.
I dont believe anything you or your buddies at Raytheon say. Pretty sick what happened in Maui.
ОтветитьI wanted to buy something from Raytheon but they wouldn't finance me for cruise missiles.
ОтветитьIsn't there a ban on space weapons but desperate evil people do desperate evil thing's.
ОтветитьReflective material: hello there
ОтветитьIt already changed everything. Just look at Maui.
