Weight loss is a battle where you are your worst enemy, and your state of mind and self control are only things preventing you to reach your goal.
The problem of getting a surgery is that you gonna regain everything, because your mindset.

290 pounds at 11? That's 1000% on her parents.
572 pounds at 20 something? That's mostly on her now. Why mostly? Because she's dealing with 18 years of bad habits instilled in her by her parents. If she makes it to 30 something, it's all her. She'll have had enough time to change.

I got fat (fat for me, 50lbs over) during covid lockdown and felt so defeated when i started to recognize that “im not chunky anymore , im fat now”. so i can understand how she felt but where she lost me is when she embraced the void and stopped trying. i decided to take control of my diet and luckily was able to drop the fat and pack on muscle with exercise but to see her do this to herself is just so sad. she just completely gave up.

at the start, people were definitely far too mean to her just because of her weight, but after those first few videos, she just started to get more and more narcissistic and manipulative. She deserves all the current hate she gets, but I don't think people should be sending hate towards the person she used to be at 300lbs.

Amberlynn and Eugenia Cooney (and Nickavocado) all have something in common, even though they are at the extreme ends of their unhealthy eating disorders. Clout. They know exactly what they're doing. They know their personality and content isn't what gave them views, but instead their extreme bodies. Honestly, people like her and Eugenia need to be banned.

Having an eating disorder plus an internet viewership addiction really don't seem to mix well.

Everything she doesn't need is discredit and more hate. Obesity is not just a matter of discipline, there's so much going on mentally. Especially now she was diagnosed with cancer, she feels 10x more guilty. She needs a psychologist. She probably thinks (not intentionally) that she doesn't deserve to lose weight and be healthy. She's punishing herself for being obese with more and more calories, like slowing k***ing herself. By this point, she probably can't fix it without the surgery. If you're sick of her failure, just leave it and go live your life, don't make mean comments on her videos.

Anecdotally I’m a Golden State Warriors fan (NBA Basketball team) and we’re so quick to say someone like draymond has an anger problem and needs “help” but Amber’s situation is so different because she is literally mentally gone and needs actual “HELP”. Yet all I see are people calling her a narcissist; which may be true, it doesnt dismiss the fact she needs professional help. And I don’t mean weight loss pros. I mean psychiatric, psychological care and analysis on the root cause and how she keeps “relapsing”. That would make for a real documentary and something I’ve never really heard about in a world where we have shows like “My 600lb life”. Insane how differently we treat certain addictions.

I felt bad about everything until the end when she was like “oh if I get this weight surgery, then I guess the worst part of all this is I might get less views” wow your documentaries are nice and concise but I feel there was a lot of substance left on the table.. no pun intended…
