"Hammer-offs" 😂
ОтветитьWow, what a sweet chill guy. I love hearing people talk about stuff they're excited about
ОтветитьHe makes crazy textural riffs one of my faves for sure
ОтветитьSuch a cool dude
ОтветитьImagine being in a "post-<any genre>" band and not knowing music theory. That gives me a lot of hope lol
ОтветитьThe truth behind knowing theory is the opposite of not being creative… same as drums… learning rudiments and everything actually makes you more creative. You know more to use it in creative ways.
ОтветитьUnderoath songs are the most fun to play and learning their covers formed the way I play and write above all other bands you could just get right into it. Thank you for the priceless gift.
ОтветитьHardcore Icons
ОтветитьDude your vibe’s giving me off Dani Carvajal of Real Madrid
Ответитьwhen did Bert kreischer join underoath?
ОтветитьYES HEAVY MUSIC ON A JAG
MY FAVORITE
Everyone who thought the intro to in regards to myself thought it was all of the drop D string be like 😐
ОтветитьIn Regards to Myself — “Not really sure what time it’s in..” Dude it’s in 4. Haha love this band
Ответить"I dont know the time.. and i also dont know anything about guitar... theory" 😂 he's great
ОтветитьI’ve played guitar my whole life, I’m self taught and also have no clue what I’m doing lol
ОтветитьThanks Tim, please do more videos showing us how more Underoath songs are played please please please. It doesn't matter if you dont know Theory your doing a fantastic job so keep it up dude. Pleased Underoath got back together <3
ОтветитьNot wanting to learn more music theory is one of the stupidest and hindering things a musician could do to them self. You don’t have to apply music theory, but understanding some can help tremendously with writing and arrangement.
ОтветитьWeird seeing Bert with a shirt on.
ОтветитьThat's how the sausage 🌭 is made.😂
ОтветитьThat guitar tone though. 🥵
ОтветитьAnyone else think he looks like a beaver?😂
ОтветитьMy takeaway shouldn't be "I also don't know sh*t about theory but I love a good riff" lmao
ОтветитьIt’s in 4/4. Sounds funny but it’s not a weird time signature for those who are trying to learn
ОтветитьThe riff from In Regards To Myself is one of the greatest ever written
ОтветитьWho knew Bert Kreischer was so good at guitar
ОтветитьThat jaguar is cool
ОтветитьPLAY THE LAST
ОтветитьOnly riffs I'm interested in learning is from the changing of times album that album doesn't ever get enough recognition. Its their best work imo
ОтветитьIt’s all pretty simple, until you try to play it yourself. LoL.
Underoath really knows how to be creative on the songs. I love you guys. Keep rocking. 🤘🏼
"Learning theory might hurt cause it would restrict me" some of the new age guitarists are either with that or against that lol. Tosin abasi is huge on theory and is crushing guitar music and he also stated there isnt a music school in the world who could create a guitarist like Tim. My two cents... shut up and play the damn guitar, if you have passion you'll get where you're goin!
ОтветитьI’ve been playing guitar for 20 years now and underoath being such a big influence for me. Glad i’m not the only one that doesn’t know guitar theory. Just keep rockin! 🤘🏻
ОтветитьSo confused as how u can play well with out knowing what your doing, it's like driving cross country with out a map
ОтветитьHe reminds of a guy that would help you find something at Trader Joe's. Mentions that he is in a band but you don't believe him.
ОтветитьSo cool seeing Tim play "The Last" from Cries of the Past
ОтветитьTheory is no more than putting musical terminology and identification behind what is being played. There is a time and place for theory for those that are classically trained, but I don't think it's a prerequisite to write music. Tim has wrote some of the most unique riffs and just because he doesn't know the theory behind it doesn't make it any less impactful.
Ответить"and I also don't know anything about guitar... theory... so I can't really explain what it is" - The true sign of a self taught guitar master.
ОтветитьTim, worst technical teacher ever but great tone, creativity, and feel.
ОтветитьThe most honest assessment of one’s work I have ever seen in my 20 years of focused music observation 😝 nah seriously, this is really cool! Damn 🙌💪🏽😤
ОтветитьThat's so awesome that he acknowledged old Underoath and played the intro to "The Last" from the second album and shared a little story with it!
ОтветитьImagine if AC/DC told fans that all the songs were based on the bands name. “Insert nuclear explosion”
ОтветитьBig Underoath fan but I never really had Tim down as a great player till now. The riffs are so much more complex and original than I ever thought.
ОтветитьI really like that guitar tone.
ОтветитьI get the ease of playing the top strings in riffing, but instead of stretching from 1 to 5 on the low D string & A string, he could just play the D string open and hammer it on & off. An A string on 5 is a D, which is what the top string already is.
Ответитьthe DTDM riff is one of my absolute favorites! So DAMN good!
ОтветитьWatching this in 2022... just now remembering when Tim had braces. Fuck I'm old. 😭
ОтветитьTim’s so sweet! Love him!!!
ОтветитьCan we have more riffs like define & lost on new releases in the future please? I miss them
ОтветитьThe whole "dissonant minor 2nd" thing cracks me up 😂😂
They're all so raw and talented, and as far as I've been able to tell over the last nearly 20 years not a single one of them has an ego about it, man I love them so much 🖤
That guitar😍
ОтветитьI’ve never listened to underoath but I’m gonna go check them out now these riffs are sick 🤘🤘
Ответить
