Better choose finance side first, and when you get paid, you could have more time for mathematics research or any researches thanks for personal funds.
ОтветитьWhen i used to be 7 i was in grade 4
ОтветитьIf you’re not a genius would it be possible to find a successful and meaningful career in math? I’m average at math (I believe) but I love it.
Ответитьgot my math degree back in 1984 and a master's later. It was interesting , but of no value except to go back to school to learn engineering or something. I read in wikipedia that the disabled scientist Hawking was considering majoring in mathematics. His father advised him not to pursue it because there were no jobs in the field, unless you taught. His father was correct and fortunately Hawking took his advice.
ОтветитьLOVE the School of Rock reference haha.
ОтветитьHow related is an Actuary related to a Financial Engineering bc I'm planning to do a Master's in Actuarial and Financial Engineering?
ОтветитьI love math but I didnt go for major because I figured I wouldnt be able to find a job other than teaching. But I also had a little math at uni (I went for Finance) and found it super boring as it was mostly math theory. The only interesting thing for me was statistics.
Ответить❤❤❤
ОтветитьYour videos have really inspired me to start looking around at getting other jobs or going back to school, despite already having an MS in biotech. Thanks for the great videos, keep them coming!
Ответитьhigh frequency trading jobs and quants probably should have gotten a shout here as well
ОтветитьThis video makes me so thankful I've fried my brains through 3 semesters of calculus. 😏
ОтветитьI'm so glad you exist. Thank you for everything you do.
ОтветитьBELIEVE me or not i just watched your 1 year old video on the same topic a few days back.
Because i want to study Maths/Statistics or Engineering .
I am a first-year mathematics student. Would you recommend quantitative analysis as a career or would you say the actuarial route is better?
Ответитьwhat about the upcoming job as a pharmacy analyst?
what is your opinion?
IT/Cybersecurity Auditor here. Though my minors in IT and computer programming have helped more, the attention to detail and critical thinking skills I practiced for my math degree cannot be ignored as it is a crucial soft skill to have as an auditor.
If you have a math background but no IT/coding background, the more traditional financial auditing practice may fit better.
I am currently a Registered Nurse, trying to go into healthcare informatics and analytics with masters. Any advise Shane?
ОтветитьDo geology
ОтветитьThis year I’ve started my mathematics degree. Still torn on whether to specialise in applied maths or statistics.
ОтветитьShane I’m sorry but are you gaining weight? 😹😭
ОтветитьCan you do physics next?
ОтветитьThis editing is really on point 😂
ОтветитьMy boss, Director of Actuarial Analytics, has a BS in Math. We work in the healthcare analytics space which sounds like #2 , #7 and #10 on your list. People on my team and adjacent teams typically have Economics, Statistics and Computer Science Degrees.
ОтветитьThank you so much for this 1, I'm in the process to start off my degree in mathematics 👍
ОтветитьAnother GREAT one that everyone who is interested in math should consider is operations research analyst.
ОтветитьSo many dream careers, so little time...
Thank you so much for this video! Now I am more certain about what I'm doing
As an Econ graduate with an Accounting background am also interested in the field of data science and would love to persue a degree in business informatics. Tech knowledge is the new gold
ОтветитьEconometrics 🤔🤔
ОтветитьMedian pay for accountants is incredibly generalized. $73K can be achieved in 2 years or less. After 5 years, you should be over $100K and can get up to or over $200K by years 10-12.
ОтветитьLove from Pakistan
ОтветитьLa bandera de bokita en la miniatura. Grande shane
Ответитьgreat video ❤
ОтветитьIf you are willing to live in Korea, Japan, or China, math teachers at international schools make 100k+ usd. You need proper teaching license though, most foreign teachers don’t have that so they don’t get accepted to real international schools and make 35-45k at a training center or work at a public school with an international program.
Ответить1. meth career
ОтветитьActuary gets # 1! 100% agree (but maybe I'm biased lol) ! Thanks for the video, Shane. 😀
ОтветитьI wish I had this when I was in school, always loved math but could've had more guidance with career choices, ultimately became an accountant
ОтветитьThank you for this video. I'm about to graduate with a math degree and have no idea what to do.
ОтветитьI like math, but in a way I also hate it. It's one of those things where both are possible at the same time.
ОтветитьWhat if you have little interest in all majors and can't decide which major to choose?
I am really confuse.
Thank you, bro. I am not a Math guy 😁, but it is really good to know. I will give it a like , bro.
ОтветитьYou are absolutely great guy
ОтветитьI appreciate the video and I want you to make more like it so I tapped like
