This movie was such a crap blast that the worst bits were all that was memorable. The wiping out of the Force Knights, the fake-out Chewy death, the list goes on. It pinnacle awfulness though? I know it came after the 'my little pony on Star Destroyers' bit, but it melted part of my brain and so scrubbed accurate recollection of it. I just know it was the utter confused splatter that was the final showdown. A fitting end to an absolute failure, and a predictable end to another J J Abrams sh*tshow.

I've watched the original trilogy at least a dozen times. After seeing them in the theater, I've never given one of these sequels a second watch. They lack the staying power of the original trilogy (and the prequels). The characters were too underdeveloped and the plots just weren't compelling. RotJ gave a satisfying conclusion to Lucas's six films. The sequels don't advance the saga. They unravel everything that was meaningful and enjoyable about it.

Who'd guess that having three different directors for a trilogy would be a bad idea.. Apparently nobody in a multi-billion dollar company. This trilogy was not made for the fans of franschiche, it was made to make maximum amount of money. Force awakens was entertaining because you didn't know which way the trilogy goes from it. Last Jedi was a huge disappointment. Characters you don't get to know enough to start caring of them, characters with huge plot armors which prevents them dying where they should of, and characters which are ruined for the sake to make the "new heroes" look good. And Rise of Skywalker was just a huge missed opportunity. Rey could of been revealed to be a real child of someone important, like Luke's which he didn't know he had.. And the real Evil could of been someone nobody knows, maybe even some ancient Sith who's managed to live from before the Clone Wars up to this day without a notice, someone who knew how to keep themselves alive with the force. That would of been a lot more realistic than throwing Palpatine back into the world and giving him the biggest star destroyer fleet the galaxy have ever seen.

The bit after the starting hit it right on the head. All these movies recycle the same beats, tones, rhythms and jokes. They even all have the same generic look.

Once again, geniuses. 1) Lost explained and resolved all the major mysteries and plotlines. You just needed to f...g listen. 2) JJ Abrams was NOT a director or writer of Lost , he was a producer for a short while , he was NOT involved into creative developments, shut up about it already seriously! It's getting tired, move on!

What can I say? I didn't hate it but I didn't like it. I wasn't overwhelmed or underwhelmed. I guess I was just whelmed.

Should have ended it with a "Come on Favreau and Filloni, make this not have happened already."

So, Star Wars and The MCU aren't made by the same studio. One is made by Lucasfilm and the other is made by Marvel Studios. They're two different studio, they just happened to be owned by the same corporation.
