Better Call Saul - Making of (Season Six)

I still can't move on from Howard's death. I've seen some spoilers accidentally before even watching the whole series, but it's still the most shocking, gut-wrenching, and heartbreaking death in the BCS-BB franchise. I felt so bad when I slowly began realizing where Saul and Kim's plan was leading. They did this man dirty. By far, the most tragic and undeserved death.

I don't know. It felt like a close relative or friend who tragically died, and I still couldn't believe what happened, or maybe because we shared the same birthday. I don't know if that makes sense. I can't help but shed a tear every time I see a video of Howard Hamlin, especially that scene when they showed his and Lalo's corpse sharing a grave or even the actor himself, Patrick Fabian, during some interviews. His character's death felt so real to me in some way. I think I immersed myself deeply into this series and franchise that I've gotten so attached to it and its characters.

I was totally into BCS years ago, after the 3rd season I must of got busy and forgot about it. I purchased all seasons on Amazon and i'm getting back into it. I started watching this but I've stopped. Big time spoilers here. I'll have to wait until i'm done with the entire series. I'll tell you one thing, this show and Breaking bad has the best actors of any series I have ever seen.

I love patrick fabian so much its hard to view him as not howard after watching the masterpiece that was better call saul

This was such a good season. I was very surprised how much I liked BCS. It came out of nowhere and really became its own show outside of BB

BCS and BB are the best tragedies written in my lifetime. I loved every character and connected with them on a personal level.

Kim was truly one of the best characters out of this whole universe. The writers do such a good job at fleshing out these characters and make them feel like people, not just characters.

I didn't even want to watch the end of season 6 for couple of reasons. "Gene" aka "Saul" aka "Jimmy" was made to turn out to be way to close to an evil murderer and I did NOT like that at all. I still don't like some of the scenes in it, especially when he physically and verbally threatens Marion! I thought they (the writers etc.) went WAY too far and it wasn't necessary! I love the show so much I watch it over and over and over but there are parts I now fast forward/skip through. As far as I'm concerned it was better than Breaking Bad but for its own reasons. Breaking Bad is a great show but I loved the layered depth of the story line in Better Call Saul much more! All the actors did a FANTASTIC job! When "Kim" aka "Rhea" broke down on the bus and started crying I cried like a baby! I LOVE her so did such an EXCELLENT job with her character! I wanted so much for there to be a fairy tale ending for Jimmy and Kim knowing of course from BB there wouldn't be. Bob is a genius and gave it his EVERYTHING literally even ending up with a heart attack! I know he had the HBO comedy show and I checked it out but it just isn't my thing. He went ALL out for the role he played in BB and especially above and beyond in BCS! BRAVO BOB and congrats man! Patrick Fabian did a great job on the show and on this behind the scenes. What a character he was in that show! Loved his suits and felt so bad for him with the cold distant wife he had for whatever reason she had. She was so COLD and cruel really and maybe she had her reason but if you're at that point in a marriage then GET A DIVORCE! I should know. Anyhow, "Howard" could be real cold character and cruel at times but not nearly as bad as some of the others including good old "Chuck" aka Michael.

Better Call Saul is the greatest piece of film related media I've ever seen. The best acting, best writing, best cinematography, best directing, best editing. I can't think of anything else that has gripped me like the last season of this show, every episode left me speechless. That sounds like hyperbole to say it's the best ever, but in my opinion, I've seen nothing that even remotely compares. Not even Breaking Bad, which was a masterpiece.

Every technique that was mastered along the course of that show is used fully in this one, but also so so subtly. It's a masterwork of a show made by a huge team of incredible artists, all working with a passion and skill that I genuinely believe is unmatched anywhere in this art form. Or, at least, unmatched for this length of a project. There are some incredible films out there, but staying at that level for six seasons of TV show is a staggering achievement.

Howards death was one of the more shocking things I’ve seen in tv. I yelled No at the tv when he was shot. It was really well written.

Best drama ever. I loved Breaking Bad but found BCS to be more soulful, more striking, more moving. And they did that neat trick of making us fall in love with Jimmy/Saul and Kim, two very attractive, charismatic, flawed - maybe even corrupt - people. I feel silly being tearful over a TV show but I'm going to miss this world.

This show is so good I'm not even finished watching all the episodes yet, from every season but I pretty much know everything that happens I can't say it's the best riding I've ever seen or read or heard but every one of the characters feel so believable, locate cam when she puts that black wig on or dyed her hair or whatever that is at the end, she looks so shockingly different than the way she normally looked she was super hot with her little law firm outfits. Her legs are smokin hot 🦵 lol 😆 but anyway every character besides maybe like Lalo, even the bad dude from Scarface, even he brought his a-game. Tuco Salamanca the dude that plays him said he was like going crazy but he is one of the best bad guys I've ever seen at actually convincing me that he has done some crazy stuff for crazy drugs or whatever that to go has gone through in his life, with his crazy uncle. That dude is good at playing ruthless killers and most people especially younger folks won't realize that Steven Bauer the guy that plays Don eladio, was in the same movie with Al Pacino in Scarface! They were just on different sides the one guy is working for the Columbian he's like the ruthless killer or whatever... The dude that gets him to take the phone over and it's like off the hook and he's staring right at Scarface, pissed off that they found out Omar was a stoolie....lol oh sorry I guess I shouldn't do spoilers but my God that movies like 40 years old now or something. Anyway I love the breaking bad universe. it's one of the few television shows especially on basic cable without anyting premium, with really really solid riding in almost all scenes. I wish there was a little bit more of Jimmy, unless of Chuck I just despise Chuck I don't see anything redeeming in him even his positive qualities, somebody had enough money to put Chuck through law School. Even if he's talented you don't see people going door-to-door up in New England asking people hey do you have an interest in law we would love to invest in you. So this dad that is supposedly out 14k because of Jimmy how much money did he have to pay for the college education oh wait I'm sorry the law college education which is often vastly longer and more expensive than a regular degree.. yeah Dad that went out of business and it's all Jimmy's fault who paid for Chuck's law school? Of course the show conveniently skips that...

Only false note in the whole show was the snow. It looked terrible.

Honestly the thing I found most interesting is mask continuity or lack thereof. Why is anyone wearing a mask? The actors aren't wearing masks? It shows a complete lack of understanding of how protecting yourself from a communicable disease actually works

The snow scenes that were supposed to be in Omaha looked so fake to me. Most of the trees were full of leaves.

Howard and Nachos Dad are the only truly "good" characters in the series.

Thinking of playing dead: what movies always get wrong is rigor mortis. Usually it takes one to two hours for it to set in, but corpses in movies are usually always „bendable“

howards death shook me far more than nachos, nachos was still shocking yes but howards death came out of nowhere for me and it made me get up and think about what happened for a solid hour

It didn't come anywhere close to Breaking Bad, but I did watch the entire series.

The level of acting that was brought here by all... the writers, camera work...all of it; complete genius.
