josh homme = the best thing that's happened to this band yet

On my first listen through of Humbug I was like "What the frick dude. :|" because I was judging on sound alone. I knew the way the previous Arctic Monkeys albums sounded and I was expecting more of the same, so Humbug was like sound shock for me and I really wasn't happy. I waited a few days then came back, looked over the lyrics a bit and kind of understood the effect Alex was trying to go for and began to appreciate the new album. Now I cant stop listening to it. It grows on you I guess.

QOTSA is pushing through this whole album...esp this song. but it's excellent because they were my first love anyways :P. But yea I love this new direction the Arctic Monkeys are taking...I can't STOP listening to this album. everything they do, so imaginative and every album is gold.

This isnt one of there best albums.

all things moost evolve or die... i only have the first album on ipod and i was expecting a new sound. They have managed to evolve without it seeming forced and "wrong". In my opinion they could easily be the best band of the last 10 -15 years. Really creative riffs and beats and ideas so musical i want to take my pants off. The lyrics are fantastic too.. some of the best i ever heard and from a young songwriter who can only get better. The beatles of our time? think about it..

@only1joe4life i dont think that stephenkful is being narrow minded...just speaking their mind...which i agree...this is one of the only songs from humbug that i like, its just a different sound than i like to hear from arctic monkeys...i still love them...just not this album as much! so chill please...
