I enjoy these kinds of videos but they can be misleading. They don’t mention inflation and the impact that will have on the real buying power of your final investment. Over the past 30 years we have had an average inflation rate that has been just shy of 3 percent. If we assume that we will have another average inflation rate if just under 3 percent then the real buying power of the 2.6 million will come out to 1.07 million. Not bad at all but still. Assuming you’re living off 4 percent of that you’ll have an annual income of $42,800 percent per year in today’s dollars. Again not bad but you won’t be exactly balling out. Lastly you’ll have to take into account the fact that you’ll be taxed on this money. Of course there is a ton of different factors to take into account like different kinds of retirement accounts (Roth, 401K) or social security and how they might help.

I started my 100k portfolio last year with SCHD, VOO, and VUG after watching one of your videos. In terms of share price, VOO is up! and VUG is doing even better. This year, I've tried to add some more assets but unfortunately facing a decline.

My Roth is 40% SCHD, 15% SCHG, 15% QQQM, 15% VTI, and 15% in VICI properties. I intend on shrinking, if not reallocating all my QQQM to add an additional 5% to each 15% holding. I would probably add an additional REIT and aim for 10% in both of those. Any thoughts on my allocations are welcome. I appreciate it!

Now I'm dca buying roughly 2k every week of whatever is on sale, and looking to add more tech positions to my portfolio. I'm looking to hold long term 15 - 20 years, so hopefully my lump sum buy in doesn't bite me in the ass long term.

Never understood why people are reluctant to buy dividend stocks,You're getting paid to be invested in the stock market,It's similar to owning a rental property,You get paid (rent) to own it while the value of the asset appreciates (hopefully)..Passive income is king

I lost over $80k when everything started to tank. Not because I was in an exchange that went belly up. I was just stupid to hold and because that's what everyone said. I'm still responsible. It just taught me to be a better investor now that I understand more of what could go wrong. It took me over two years of being in the market, I'm really grateful I found one source to recover my money, at least $10k profits weekly. Thanks Charlotte Grace Miller.

Yeah, on a 40k income.
Saving 500 a month with your 3% employer contribution selecting a good indexing like VOO or a similar with fidelity.
I made 22.3 and 19.85 % in 2022 and 2023 and saved over 25k.
It’s not life changing but it adds up quick.
However, It does make the rest
Of life’s expenditures tough saving 20-25% but it’s more important to save for the future than it is to have a place to live or eat properly. 😂.
At least in 20 years and a crippled man in my 60s with none of the Ponzi scheme known as social security left for us, I may have enough money for a tent or at least a sleeping bag and canned ravioli.
