What a godamn nerve to insert advertisement within this video.

Stevie should have worked on this tune much more before releasing it. After 5-10 reworks it should have reached closer to its full potential. Both the rhythm and melody is generally too unsophisticated for my taste. If I were to try to modify it I think it would open up a lot more. For one thing it is written with too similar vocal parts for two very different singers. I don’t know if Stevie was close to his vocal prime at this moment, but assuming so I think it had potential to sound much more impressive. The c-sharp at just before 6 minutes sounded great together with Pavarotti, but those moment were far too few in an otherwise too predictable tune.

Есть много видео где Паваротти поет дуэтом. Но он поет попеременно, покуплетно, давая проявить себя саоему визави и сам деликатнопокащывает красоту и мощь своего голоса. Но здесь то, Стиви ревностно хотел перепеть Лучано, даже перекричать. Да, великие певцы. Но в этом дуэте я это не увидел. Паваротти-прекрасный и великодушный певец.
