It’s not just the rng. You can make the challenge as hard as you like. But for the viewer part of the entertainment is seeing how your skill both mechanically and overall game knowledge overcomes the handicaps you’ve placed. When survivor just wanders into hatch you (and by proxy the viewer) gets robbed of this. If you could slug in end-game this would be fine but basically I’m watching a highly skilled player do pretty cool things in-game then at the very end they after prevailing you may as well just take out a coin and flip it to decide the outcome. It takes away from skill on display in the main part of the match. Edit - To be clear. Love the content, always excited when new vid drops, big fan of you and Chanel but not a fan of the rng based difficulty imposed here.

this would make it too easy imo but this one dude i watched a while ago he had like a 600 win streak with nurse but the way he would "lose" all 5 gens have to be done and someone has to escape by any means then he counts it as a loss

at this time of dbd if you dont have at least 2 good gen slow down perks, even if you make the smallest tiny mistake ever there is a 90% chance you completely lose the game

Idea what if for each pip u can bring 1 perk or addon for that 1 game and its like a point system aka for offerings too

The fact that it's so hard and challenging means that a killer can't just go in and 4k every round naked. If it were easy and no sweat to do the balance of the game should be brought into question. I don't think a killer should be able to 4k every round naked no matter how skilled you are. You should have addons and perks to be able to do so. Thinking you should be able to go in and 4k every round naked is arrogance. 3k is reasonable, but 4k is greed.

If you can complete the challenge, it's just proof the balance of the game is completely on the killer's side. Being able to go in perkless, no addons and still get 4k without slugging against survivors with perks and addons is completely unbalanced.

vent about the comments that get under your skin if you must, it's understandable, hopefully enough people hear and respond to it well and either lay off a bit whether they mean to bother you like that or not, and enough who wouldn't normally feel they have to say anything toss in a positive. I don't think about how i'd do better than you, I doubt I would, I just like the tension of the challenge.
A 4k is asking a lot especially with all the added on rules and pippin ain't easy.

If a miracle happens, I expect a montage of the killer that gets you major progress, hopefully set to you singing Bonnie Tyler's holdin out for a hero.

Spooky honestly if I were you, I would save singularity for at least third or second to last killer, he has so much slowdown potential even without add-ons, and since no one plays singularity, they could not know what to do and have some pretty easy downs.

I would allow use of hatch offering through gold next time you do this challenge

my dbd wont work it keeps saying easy anti cheat isn't installed but it was working a couple weeks ago and i didn't uninstall anything

The game is not balanced around no perks no addons its really hard that Way. I always wanted to play my fav killers without everything. The game should work thisway. Perks should be a side thing an option.

Love your videos, but this season seems way too hard. Either make it super hard at the start and ease it up at each level, or make it the same throughout.

Given how awful your games have been going, I think you deserved that Mulligan.

I stand by I would like to see a "tryhard" series, where you use good perks but with maybe rules similar (I personally think that these were a little harsh) rules to this one (obviously there will be perks the whole time). I enjoy seeing you play seriously because it is something I want to get to in DBD (I'm only around 600 hours).

"I've always had that rule throughout the entire thing". Actually, no you haven't. You changed the rules after loosing several killers in a row. You change your rules to ensure you get to the end of the challenge so you can keep making videos.

Idk if its just mean but i really hate this editing style. It removes so much of the decision making process the viewer gets to see/think out themselves. Its also incredibly jumpy so it makes it more difficult as viewer to get a gage of how much time has passed as well as, for the viewer, keep an internal map of how the survivors are playing and where they are. All the luck to you man. Obviously your content is successful it just is a bit out of touch for me :(

im not the best killer but IMO you should have slugged a few times like one time i can name for sure is the alucard game on that trash map but they escaped thru the key after you closed hatch. you should have slugged to bait them into picking up off the floor or buying more time to find other players. thats jus my thought process throughout watching this, still very entertaining tho

This just proves without camping and tunneling. Gens are just too fast and survivors hold all the power of you play by their rules.

I think the structure of your challenge is really good. DBD players are too used to cheap tactics and easy outs that an actual challenge seems too strict to them. This is perfect and difficult and not a lukewarm "challenge" that gets beaten fairly easily. Great videos!!

Man this is torture. Id say by gold you remove the perks and until red you have 1 mulligan if 3 survivors are killed before escape

I just don't think you should count hatch escapes as a loss. (Unless all 5 gens were done). It makes the majority of your lost games due to this rng mechanic that forces you to slug stall the game just to be able to somewhat control.
