In the original film they couldn't show the talisman of set that being his genitals. Also in the book our hero uses asafoetida to conduct the susassama ritual to traverse space and time.UNfortunately some one was making Meera Dahl out of and I couldn't do that either.

Thank you. I'm glad to have been able to revisit this movie which I've never entirely forgotten, because of a strkingly original plot. I would not suggest a re-make, but a different film using the same basic idea, like a "Fourth Reich" thriller, could be interesting.

I did not like this movie at first, but it kinda grew on me. The moment she was lying in the bushes eating that choclate bar...golden.

this is the first hammer film i take down. film is slow and boring. plot is weak and full of holes. a child died and the rest of them are at party by night? rubbish. only thumbs up for the Cushing Lee performance as always

very pleasantly surprised by this film...but why not hey...christopher lee was a legend...he plays cool good guy too...eg the devil rides out..Excellent plot twist at the end too....:-)
