How 3 Hidden 1-Ups Eluded Players for Years in Super Mario 3D World

Dude took 7 and a half minutes to explain a 10 second problem.....

Ii love how when i read the title i expected to see a bunch of crazy momentum that took years to make, and the solution ended up being so simple.

Me and my little brother were curious once when I was seven and he was six and we got up the wall using the second method (this was years before I watched this video)

I found this a year before the video came out

I find this pretty wierd. I was able to reach those with Luigi and a cat suit normally, but it was in 3DW + Bowsers Fury and I'm pretty sure that has different controls

use luigi when you try to get up there its easy

I have actually found those three 1-ups not long after the game came out while looking for the stamp. I didn't think that it was a big deal and that multiple players have already found that hidden stash, but wow.

Edit: I had my brothers with me and was trying to get 100% sinse we like it.

Don't wanna sound like a bragger but I actually got to the top of the wall with no glitches or other platers

The good thing is luigi got there first

It is actually possible to get the 1ups in single player on the switch version thanks to the Super Mario Odyssey upgraded moveset.

After seeing this video and finally acquiring the game a couple of months later, i actually tried this wall by myself with Mario and, not only i succeded the first time, i'm also able to repeat it whenever i want, no second player needed. I pretty much just used the higher jump you can get right after a stomp in order to raise my starting position in the climbing, then did all the other usual tricks and did it no problem. Now I'm not saying the video lied, maybe my version of the game is more updated or old and the mechanic just works a little different, allowing to actually pull it off single-handedly, i don't know.

I got up there with one person

Uh... what? I discovered these on my first playthrough on Nintendo Switch, and it was easy for me to do with the Cat Bell. The fact that players don't realize that going UP in this level gives you many secrets.. 😂

One time I made it but I got way too excited and jumped right back off I was really disappointed I will be trying this more though hopefully I will make it

I actually forgot about these 1 ups even though I watched this video a while ago. I only remember it now because I was looking for the 2nd green star and I stumbled on these 1ups (This was indeed on the switch version, I sadly don't have a Wii U).

He found them. I was one of the few that had a that curiosity. So I knew you could man. 😉👍

It's not that hard you know.Just spin jump, then claw your way up.If you start to get tired,jump and dive! Tips for the win !😁

I'm honest with you,I found the 3 1-ups myself

i did this no joke it took me at least 5 - 10 minutes.

The 1 ups are much more easy to get in the switch version cause up the ground pound bounce

I just recently got this game on the switch and I got to this level like yesterday and I found those one ups and now I see this I’m so confused am I being watched

you first need a cat bell,then climb the first wall,then climb until you can't,then cat swipe back to the walll and then youre their

you can do it as a one player because it worked for me

You can Use a invincibility leaf go to The curved part of the first section at the wall Near the pipe But after it and u can use the suit if u do it right u can get up theyre Really simply!

I watched this video before I got to this level and did not bother to do it before I complete the main 8 worlds. After I’m done, I came back to this stage and it is very easy to get the 1-Ups. Just know when to press ‘B’ and then ‘Y’ and you will get it. I played the Switch version as Toad.

The german let's player Domtendo always picket up these one ups when he was playing 3D world,
so the existence of these isn't a big surprise for me xD

On switch I was looking for green stars and I climbed the wall and dived to get up there and I thought the 1 ups were common knowledge.

It’s funny how I found these one ups on my first time playing the game and my first time playing that level

Short story. The first time I played this game was when it just came out. My cousin bought the game and had played the game before hand. The first level I played was this one and I when I found out cat suit can climb walls, I told him I wanted to climb every wall here. So we actually found these 1-UPs on the first try.

I got this on the Wii U you have to go up to the top of that wall where the star is jumps towards the wall with a cat suit and then while in two player you make Luigi jump under the original player ( toad recommend and then keep going up the wall and you’ll make it
