As a suicidal kid I know how it feels like being helpless. When I say I’m fine when I’m not really fine but I can’t tell my parents how I actually feel because they would never understand me. And only blind can’t see that things are not fine with me. But we all pretend that everything is fine. Talk to your kids. But never attack them for their feelings. Or they would never tell you about their feelings.

Wow... This videos hits me so hard, because you can see that still hurts on him and as a father I just can't imagine being on this kind of situation. He still blames himself.

There really was No need for the dramatic music

Nobody told me how to fight my bullies. I told my father and he said "well defend yourself", like "well dont be sad" type of feedback. I wanted to end it all hundreds of times. And teenagers, it continues after school. There a bullies in adulthood, at work, office or construction site. The best way to get out of it is to find sincere and true friendships, people that respect you for who you are, no fake no pretend, because we need you, you are awesome and you matter. And I know you will say "but no one I know cares about me" well think this way: how can I know your existence? How can I find you? Get loud, get known, reach out, get out, We exist and we need you.

I started doing journey therapy ( brandon bays) that changed my life. Gangaji is good too.

Sometimes we choose an incarnation where we are supposed to experience this. Its not your fault.

My parents are emotionally neglectful even to this day and im 38. I recently admitted to them I was sexually abused as a child and they dont believe me. Since I was 17, I have struggled with suicidal thoughts. Im still around, some days are easier than others. I think if I had parents that cared and listened things would be different.

TBH: “pop culture” is far more influential on contemporary youth than their parents are. Today’s parents themselves are even oblivious to the degree to which their own perceptions of reality have been wired by “pop culture.” Can parents make a difference? Sure, but proportional to the extent parents provide an antidote to pop culture, not reenforcement of it. It’s easy to feel hopeless and without any sense of control (at any age) when you are trying to reconcile your observations, instincts, and feelings with the manufactured illusions that are presented as reality. Nothing commits suicide in the wild. Modern pop culture is the exact opposite of the wild.

Not as a father but as a big brother I let him die 5 years ago when I could habe done something more than I did, this really resonates with me as my guilt is still eating me up inside until this day.
He overdosed on fentanyl but I hardly did anything to stop it.

All I wanted to do was save my husband, I was there, and I still couldn't do it. It absolutely was the most helpless I ever felt. You're right, support your kids, be there, and just love them. (((Hugs)))

Using comedy to deal with great sadness.

One tip for parents don't keep reminding children of their past mistakes. It makes them feel helpless like they're stuck in a loop.

Whenever I made great strides in life , my Mother would shoot me right back down again and remind me of the past. So I felt deflated again.

It's almost like some parents subconsciously want their kids in a state of continual helplessness always depending on Mommy.

You lost nothing but another version of your own failed self.

I am feeling no connection with anyone. I miss my dog, he's back home. I wish someone will spell magic on me. I don't know why I have this constant sadness looming around.

I should talk more often with my dad. He is very intelligent but sometimes i think i dont know him really. I know he loves me but we dont talk much. I remeber one time we drove from the funeral from my mums dad back home and he tell me that he and his dad never talked much and then his dad was dead. He wanted to say that he regrets it. I mean he is not a man of words but when he talk its realtalk. it was very strange because such situation never happened to me before. my father is a big example for me, but when i have kids i will talk more to them, because its not easy to handle with it if you are getting older. But im very thankful for my parents love.

Sorry but I call this kinda advice bullshit, at least in a vacuum like this. Life isn't cookie cutter, the same things don't work on different people and that includes kids. For every kid that would kill themselves because of a taskmaster of a parent you'll have one that needs that guidance so the person doesn't end up a psycho.

This is such a difficult problem, it breaks my heart and makes me weep.

And, include GOD!!

It’s so sad that these kind of things make people such as this dad, think that he’s at fault. When in reality, it’s actually the fault of parents who raise POS kids who bully other kids, leading to suicides. Maybe if other parents (not the guy in this video) actually paid attention to their kids, taught them respect and good morals, their kids wouldn’t be bullies, leading to other kids killing themselves.

The kids in Palestine are human too. Look what the western countries are doing to them, think about the trauma the sadness they are going through, make empathy...

My brother committed suicide on July 27,1986. It’s still fresh in my mind. I was 8 months pregnant with my daughter. He did it in a field that was directly across the street from my house. I was so pregnant I was afraid to show any emotion for fear of having that baby right there.
