In some points this was right but a lot of this is made up story. I am an afghan I have family in Afghanistan that I talk to them everyday. In 1990s, the time where my father grow up and he does talk about how wrong and forceful they were. But the new taliban government that is in Afghanistan right now is chill. there is violence on the people whom they DON'T follow the rules(this is not something new try not following the law in USA or any other countries there will be punishment) so does the Afghanistan government taliban have laws that they want the people to follow. In my eye the only problem that taliban have right now the education on women. There is no stealing from the people, There is justice, there is law, there is no kidnapping, there is honesty ....

What a Kip of a country.

In the video it is mentioned that the Taliban were able to gain presence and influence with the support of Pakistani government. On what ground can you say that? I am pretty sure if that was the case, and US and the allies knew about it, Pakistan would have sanctioned.
Just a side note, Trump administration actually pressured Pakistan to release Mulla Baradar (right now number is Taliban government) because they wanted to negogite with him without including the existing Afghan government at that time. He was captured in 2010 by Pakistani authorities.
