As I am in school studying to, hopefully, be a physical therapist one day I got the Idea to learn sign language, since I think that it's not a language many people know. Even tho my hearing is completely "average" I want to learn. I think comunication is everything in life and as this is a language not many people know, It can make someone's day if you can communicate through it, which means a lot. I thank you for your being an amyzing teacher.
ОтветитьRound of hands. Who tried to turn the sound up?
ОтветитьHi, I learned the old way asl, lots of here is different from the one I learned when I was a kid, I was 9 at the time, so why it keeps changing?
Ответить“Now” sign unclear. Web shot out of my wrist.
ОтветитьI love the way you gradually build up your students' understanding of signs through repetition in this way. I've been learning quite a bit from you as well. Thank you!
ОтветитьIm hearing and ive been studying asl for fun (about to take an official course in it), i didnt understand all of what you said but your facial expressions were epic! Thanks for this!
ОтветитьI'm a bit confused. I have a HOH friend that uses ASL. He says he doesn't do the sentance structure the way you teach it. I guess he uses a form of slang ? He's been deaf since childhood.
ОтветитьI love ASL
Ответить💙 respect
ОтветитьI love these videos because Bill is so entertaining as a teacher!
ОтветитьHow sign language for "marriage hamburger"?
Ответить❤
ОтветитьI USED to know ASL well enough to teach it myself for the ARC. But as I've not used it in many decades now, I've forgotten much of it. Your videos are a great help in refreshing this old memory! Thank you!

Ответитьvisual aid would be perfect here too
ОтветитьHello Dr;
My husband was born hearing . However, just within the last 3 years had choclear implant surgery. On his opposite ear he has an hearing aide. We were told he’s loosing his hearing over time on this ear as well. It’s been very difficult to say the least. I suggested sign language and he’s refused in the past but appears to be open now. Where do I go for help? How does a beginner start this process. To me it’s intimidating but I’m willing to learn. Any advice is welcome. Thank you.
Mrs. K.
I am deaf jobs kolkata jobs 😢

Ответить😮😂
ОтветитьI loved it ❤❤
ОтветитьI know all letters and was able to communicate like that ( “writing”letters to get the word I want to tell) and I’m pretty fast
Ответитьim embarrased to say i spent quite a few minutes adjusting my sound until i reailzed
ОтветитьWas it just me or did I notice candy and apple are the same thing?🤔
ОтветитьToo fast
Ответитьthis is the first time i feel like a deaf person..
ОтветитьHi everybody. This might not be the place to ask this but I have a question about one-handed signs. I have a disability that makes my left hand spasm. I have limited control over it. Do you know of any way to work around this limitation? Is there an implication of symmetry or does not using my left hand correctly change the meaning of the phrases? I can see some signs are one-handed, are they always with the dominant hand or does the side matter?
ОтветитьSesassebul
ОтветитьI click a different video everyday for 5-10 minutes, quickest language I've picked up!! I don't always get the whole joke/context but always find myself laughing along lol
Edit: Also, idk if anyone else does this but I play this on .75x speed and it helps retain the info and allows some processing time to answer back during reviews
Son and daughter?
ОтветитьDidn't know you used liess for instructors
ОтветитьsarahiGarza 😀😘❤️🇲🇽🧏🏼♀️😘😁🤟🏻

ОтветитьDr Vicars, is there a way for you organize your precious lessons in order? Blessings
Ответитьmods can you please add slow motion
ОтветитьSigning without speaking is so peaceful.
ОтветитьWhy do I hear no audio?!!Oh shiit,yeah...I'm dumb.
ОтветитьКрутий учитель!
ОтветитьI'm so hearing dependent, I keep turning up the volume even though I can see you aren't speaking out loud 😅
ОтветитьI remember watching this video as a kid thanks for making my childhood
ОтветитьCurrently 16. Ever since i was 13 i have been noticing that my music has been playing a bit quieter than before, and i cant make out some words quite the same. Learning ASL and then the one from my native language, so i wont leave my friends wondering what the heck happened to me and why i don't talk to them anymore :') its gonna be rough but im gonna do this!
ОтветитьShow me baby sign for "good"
ОтветитьIt’s interesting because a lot of the signs are similar to the ones I learned, but just a little different. For example, I learned to keep my thumb erect when signing “sister” or “brother”. I also learned to tap the top of my wrist, not the underside, when signing “work”.
ОтветитьI've been studying in the treestand while I hunt since theres no need for sound why havent I thought of this years ago
Ответить👁️✝️🛐👁️🩸⚖️🕯️🍞💧🌡️😡🌋🌪️🙏⏳, loves, it would be nice if someone could say what your signing so we could watch you instead of reading . Thank You Very much for this
ОтветитьHello . Do you give clases on line?
And if you do, what's the cost?
