I'm a bit late to the party, but I always love seeing Rammstein! I've listened to them since high school and I'm 33 now. You're absolutely correct about musical theater. I don't feel like you can really talk about Rammstein's talent without bringing up their live shows. They are massive productions. Rammstein, in general, is super artistic. Anyway... As far as just Till's voice, I always suggest 'Seemann' as a good representation of what he is capable of. It has always been my favorite Rammstein song and I think it gets slept on as it's not quite as gritty as songs like 'Du Hast'. His voice has always impressed me and I really think it shines even better in their ballads/cleaner songs. I'd also suggest 'Mein Herz Brennt', 'Ohne Dich', and 'Morgenstern'

They made french speak German, this is alone a performance.

He isn't a superb vocalist in the sense of range and clarity, I think, and perhaps the wrong band to listen to for that, but for pure energy, raw energy and emotions communicated, I feel this bad is one of the best there is. You are probably not wrong with musical theatre. They are quite the smart band overall. Also, some people, media mostly, at least early on, thought they were right-wing and brutal, but they are the opposite. Brutal in music only.
