We have the best, biggest and fatter sardines in the portuguese coast. Even the cheaper current brands are much better than most brands from other countries.

Actually more than 100 years old. When the Portuguese sailed for India, one of the ways they managed to store ship supplies was through Sardines and also one of the reasons why they succeeded in their voyages.
