Great démonstration, very complete video 👍 always good to remind basic things
ОтветитьI think you are incorrect at 6 minutes when saying that 22kn of strength is for 2 strands... Because webbing sold by the meter is typically 15kn for 16mm and 22kn for 26mm... Without it being a sling/loop. And a looped sling being pulled on by both ends by carabiners still only has 1 strand's strength because the part of the sling wrapping around the carabiner is still only 1 strand
ОтветитьAs a complete novice, just looking at safety gear for challenging hiking routes, these videos are a treasure trove of well presented educational climbing gear guides. Highly recommended.
ОтветитьI don’t understand why you can’t fall on a dyneema sling, but you can with QuickDraws that use dyneema as the dog bone?
ОтветитьHello , you dont speak about the aramid sling.
What do you think about this material ?
I use one and it’s seem’s really tuff !
Thank for your work :)
My pulse was going up a lot when you started cutting the slings and falling with the knife in your hand. Be safe!
ОтветитьPelo amor de Deus, cara! Porque você não pediu pra alguém cortar pra voce. O perigo de vc cair com essa faca na mão...
Ответитьloving this series thanks for making my transition to outdoor climb so much smoother!
ОтветитьI like that u know what you r doing thanks
ОтветитьOne thing that I noticed after many and many times I saw this video on the cutting experiment between sling and rope is that the melted part of the sling is mainly the painted nylon on the outer part of the sling while the dyneema looks more intact. Which it actually makes sense since nylon is not doing good with high temp.
ОтветитьDoes anyone have the link to the video showing how to use a Quickdraw as a PAS? Thx!
ОтветитьGreat Videos! Dyneema doesn't like DEET (bug repellant) it will eat it. Could be a good test also.
ОтветитьThanks for such a high quality and important content!
ОтветитьExcellent information!
ОтветитьGood video.
ОтветитьGreat video. Thank you. Please be careful falling with the knife!!
ОтветитьAbsolutely excellent video with no BS. Thank you for your time and effort bravo
ОтветитьWhat do you thing about knots on dyneema?
ОтветитьThis guy: makes a safety video
Also this guy: proceeds to cut a rope that is holding his weight with an open knife
