Car Shield is junk....have always known that.

Put the money in a saving acct.

Most of these will cost $100 to $175 monthly. Putting that same money in a savings account for if something goes wrong is a better way to go and if nothing goes wrong you have a great down payment on your next car

This is as bad as any of the charities that you see on tv asking for your money. if you called any of the charities and said you need help i bet You get hung up on.

I was a service writer at a dealership for over 20 years. There are a few good companies in which to purchase a vehicle service contract from. 90% of them though are garbage. Car Shield was one of the worst that have popped up in the last few years. They are so bad we no longer accepted them. Other words we would not even call them to start a claim.

I got scammed too. They always find a reason NOT to cover the cost. But by the time you figure it out. You’ve paid them for months already 😂🤪🤦🏽‍♂️

Great job ! Subaru has the best new car warranty. 3yrs./36 month TRUE bumper to bumper. They cover everything except the tires. Brakes pads, wiper blades, light bulbs etc.... normal wear and tear is covered. It's great !!!!

I worked at carshield for a year (503 pearl Dr Ofallon, MO 63376) And it is 100% a scam. They wanted me to milk the elderly and have them make x amount of payments in advance. You'd get $30 off for 6 months and $60 off for a year which is only $5 off a month for paying a year in advance. Not only that but we couldn't use certain words or else we would seem like a scam. The salesman there are like salesman out of a shitty wall street movie. A bunch of gigachads with way to much cologne on, swear like a sailor, and will literally goof around while trying to sell you a plan. They hire a lot of hood rats too. Trust me it's a scam. We would have weekly meetings to come up with rebuttals if the customer didn't want the product

I worked for a major European car company for years that started the Certified Pre-owned programs. We had to go through a car with a service history inspection, 160 point inspection, Carfax history report, a previous body repair inspection, since Carfax only shows something if it is reported and bring all the required services up to date before it was able to be certified. Thinking that some company is going to insure you for repairs on a car that they have no history or for that matter never seen is ridiculous and especially for $140 a month is laughable. $140 barely covers the price of an oil change these days. Take that money and put it in the bank and self insure. with 45 years in the auto industry I can tell you do not buy these warranties they are a scam

Supposedly they got their own TV station to rip more people off. My neighbor got totally screwed by them, when even put a new rebuilt engine in their vehicle put an old junky junkyard engine in it.

The dealer warranty are no better they have loop holes like car shield had a dealer purchased warranty blend door actuator went bad dealer checked it said not covered under the warranty. Had to pay the dealer a hundred dollars for checking it total scam!!

Nobody ever remembers the American Fidelis car warranty scam. They bought an old church, and sold extended car warranty contracts, and with every contract sold included a can of additive. In order to get refunded on any policy, you had to return that can of additive, which you were required to add to your vehicle to start your contract!! The brothers used the money to buy luxury items, watches, cars, property, planes and took lavish vacations. Finally the Feds shut them down and now they are in prison!!!

Can't the government shut them down instead of just giving them a fine ? TRUMP would.

Progressive used to sell a supplementary mechanical breakdown rider = it actually paid for a bad clutch install on my wrx many years ago… but it was only an option when you bought a new car at that time.
