Been for three / four separate holidays, each one memorable. Love the place, and nearby Polperro.
ОтветитьLove looe went there a few yrs ago
ОтветитьLooks great .
ОтветитьBrilliantly filmed and presented. Very often good videos are ruined by people wanting to see themselves or hear themselves. Well done 10/10
ОтветитьWe've had some beautiful holidays in loo it's such a geougus place watching your video brings back some fantastic memories thank you 👍
ОтветитьI feel so lucky to live here and be able to enjoy it during the quieter seasons too

ОтветитьGreat video down Looe in may thankyou for sharing
ОтветитьThank you❤❤❤
ОтветитьThere's no where like looe been so many times only down side is having 2 leave
ОтветитьExcellent camerawork and a well-planned tour!...but count me out for a summer visit; all that heaving human flesh.....and curiously...they all look the same.
ОтветитьMy family visited Looe several times during the 60s, to spend the day shark-fishing in a lugger, or drifter. Solid, wooden-hulled vessels. None of those seen in your video, just fibre-glass motor-cruisers. Do hope they still exist.
Never caught a shark, but always came back with a stock of whiting, pollock & mackerel and, on one occasion, a huge conger eel - which we left with the skipper!
My grandad lives in Looe im about 2 hours away. Its a very lovely town. Very quaint and relaxing but I wouldnt advise more than a weekend here as there really isn't a lot to do at all. Unless you like fishing or boating I guess.
ОтветитьAnother great video I seem to be hooked? If I remember the first time in Looe was probably late 1960s a few of on motor bikes a really hot day and found a pub near the beach and sunk a few pints with the music of the day being played very fond memories of my youth if I remember they use to do a lot of shark fishing from Looe
Ответитьi live in looe
ОтветитьI’m 74 live in Hong Kong 🇭🇰 but growing up in Harrow we we had holiday s 3 years running staying on a farm first time to Looe 64 years ago. 😊
ОтветитьI have never been, but it has elements of it that reminds me of Venice, I would love to go to Looe.
ОтветитьHi, nice video brought back some memories, I lived in west Looe for 10/12 years. 2 Trelawney terrace. Miss my boat and the fishing, I now live in Helsinki Finland.
ОтветитьVisited Looe as a child in the mid to late 1950. Stayed once in West Looe. The second time in East Looe. Remember the shark fishing boats coming in. The thing I remember most was a cave. Found by walking east along the beach. Through a gap in the finger of rock that sticks out into the sea. The cave into the cliff at beach level & just the right size for 10/12 year old boys. Wondered if the cave still existed. But seeing the very end of the video makes me wonder if has been built over.
Edit :- I have now watched another video & wonder if the cave has been the victim of a cliff fall.
Polluted water wastes
ОтветитьI used to live in East Looe, it's a beautiful place and so peaceful when not full of tourists. Of course, they're a necessity for the good of the town, so we put up with it all. All the parking bays are numbered and can only be used by designated residents, which is a very good thing because it prevents visitors parking and keeps the narrow streets clear. My house in the oldest part of town, had a garage at ground level. Lucky me. It's a pity you didn't venture along the old town and its pretty cottages. Maybe next time
ОтветитьAnyone remember the mechanical puppets that used to be on the quay side?
Ответитьso clean and tidy, superb place to visit
ОтветитьSailors deckers and boscarn...my youth!!
ОтветитьLiving in Australia now but this video brought back many memories from my youth, I lived in Plymstock near Plymouth and frequently visited this area in those times.
Ответитьwow another amazing place you've shown us big thank you for that x have a great day x
ОтветитьIt was lovely to see love again last was there 25 years ago and I loved it. Don’t remember it being so busy tho. 😁
ОтветитьHi saw that lady in front having a quiet bum scarth lol
ОтветитьBeautifully presented. Job well done.
ОтветитьYou can also get to the beach more quickly by turning left up Higher Market Street and you can stop and have a beer in the lovely old Fisherman's Arms on the way.
You should have taken this video before the harbour master pulled the plug out as he does every morning (yes, some of them do ask where the water went haha). The only person I saw who I know was Johnny playing his guitar. If you'd timed it right you may have also caught Alastair, one of the town nutters throwing a tantrum near the beach - that often gives the tourists a bit of excitement to liven their day..
Oh and when you did West Loose you missed out the Jolly Sailor. It's in the square behind the Fire station just off the quay and is about 500 years old.
Went to school there in the early 70s.
ОтветитьWow I’m thinking off going to Cornwall next year what a fantastic place that looks amazing
ОтветитьMe and my family were in Looe from 26th August until 3rd September this year and we loved it (Apart from I had my Ice Cream Stolen whist standing outside the East Looe Amusements, That will teach me)!
ОтветитьStayed here quite a few years back, rented a cottage over looking the beach, such a great view of the boats coming in from getting the morning catch, along with the sun rising above the sea in the mornings and the fresh seafood and local bars are excellent. Thanks for bringing back some great memories of lovely east Looe
ОтветитьBeautifully filmed as usual have you any plans to film St Ives and Falmouth?
ОтветитьSpent many happy childhood holidays in Looe. Then with my own Children. Now with my grandchildren. Looe has never changed, thankfully, over all these years.
ОтветитьHello from Brisbane Australia. I really enjoyed this tour of Looe. We stayed in Looe in Dec 2018 for a week and it was the sweetest most beautiful place. I am so glad we were there in winter as it is certainly a thriving and busy place in summer. We stayed in an old smugglers cottage. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
ОтветитьLoving this. You have given my wife and myself a perfect insight as to what to expect and some distant child hood memories when we come down to Looe and Polperro mid September. Thank you for the fantastic videos
ОтветитьYes love it beautiful place and lovely shops.
Ответитьloving these vlogs mate..we have just booked a week's stay in Cornwall over Xmas,we much prefer the winter months than the crazy summer months there
