I don't give a shit about my security I will always use Windows 7 and I will never stop using Windows 7

If you're still using 7 at this point just switch to Linux. Steam isn't supporting 7 anymore and Linux brings new life to old systems.

I am using windows 7 on my second PC and i didn't have any antivirus installed and i installed a ton of pirated softwares and pirated activations and i didn't had any issues by hackers or something. Its all complete rumors. You can use any OS just fine as your wish and you will be still completely 💯 safe even without any security and antimalwares lmao...

If you really have old hardware, and you are still going on an old OS like W7, just install a light weight linux OS.

Antivirus software only detects KNOWN viruses, not new ones which is why AV software is worthless in my opinion. Just another company taking possession of all my data to do with as they please. Win 7 is by far the best OS because it lets you control what your PC does and doesn't do(unlike win 8 and up) , you can control,change, stop, modify, or tweak just about everything and make anything work (almost). Win 7 forever !!!

This entire video is scaremongering BS and honestly it really ticks me off. Don't get me wrong I wouldn't use Windows 7 today either but damn the way this guy goes on it's like saying if you install Windows 7 your computer is going to blow up or something! It's all just scaremongering nonsense. The updates from Microsoft also do more harm then good anyway! Typing this from Linux!

I'm still using windows 7 here in 2023, on my 15 years old HP-Pavilion computer, and I love it! It works like a charm ! And you know what ? I still receive security updates automatically, from Microsoft!

I use windows 7 on a custom build and i use a antivirus software called Iobit Malware Fighter and i use firefox with extentions of duckduckgo and ublock and i also use Cleanbrowsing DNS. i also configured settings in firefox to secure it better.

If you setup firewall, disable smb and other vulnerable ports and only visit very safe websites. Why not, also be aware of email attachments

Highly considering going back to windows 7

i tried a 2008 machine with these specs:
Q9550 quadcore/4GB RAM
HD 5450 HDMI Radeon

Win7 SuperLite (0.9GB ISO!) + Thorium for SSE3 CPUs web browser + Ublock + Avast and the machine flies, is snappy and nope not keen on any gaming so its been fantastic! The creator of Thorium web browser apparently is a huge W7 advocate/fan haha

Whatever you using window 3.11 or windows 11 the hackers will get access to your system if they wan't to. And if I have to select between spyware from Microsoft and being hacked I will select being hacked. The chance is les to be hacked. 🙂

I use windows 7 on my main laptop.I can upgrade to windows 10/11 but I continue to use it until I have no choose and yes i see the watermark on chrome teilling me that it isnt updating

"Upgrading" back to Windows 7 is the best decision I've made all year. My computer kept slowing down especially when using Google Chrome. I tried following tutorials to disable all the spyware included with Windows 10 and even tried installing blackbird. While blackbird did help I think Microsoft's newer updates is able to spy on users. The bottom line is users shouldn't have to go through unnecessary tasks to ensure their operating system isn't being compromised even if it is by the developers. Now that I'm back on Windows 7 I once again am not having any issues problems. Every website is loading instantly again. I have work to do and don't have time to worry about if my operating system will be stable today or tomorrow.

I don't know anyone that uses windows 7 anymore. The same will happen when people realise windows 10 isn't supported in 2025.

You can't play the old Harry Potter computer games on a Windows 10 or 11 you only can play the games on a Windows 7

Harry Potter and the philosopher's Stone and Harry Potter and the chamber of secrets and prisoner of Azkaban computer games do not work on a Windows 10 or 11 so it'll only work on a Windows 7

I just acquired a HP mini with 7 Pro. It was last used in 2016, so it needed updating. Claims its running an unlicensed OS. Manage to update and download Edge. Still working on it. Not sure how secure Edge is while running in Windows 7 pro. May try free upgrade to Windows 10;

Britec09, I am watching this video on September 17,2023 and when I checked my 10 year old Win7 PC , I received 2 updates from Microsoft for Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool and Security Intelligence Update for Windows Defender Antivirus for 9-17-2023. So they are still giving some updates over the last few months and my win7 pc is fully patched before they stopped support from Microsoft. I have Firefox 115.2.1esr browser and that is supported until this time next year. Windows 10 ends support in October 2025. I have one PC with Win10 and one with Win7, both are fine to use at home and never had any problem with the Win7pc, Adobe Flash was worse back then. When Win10 ends support in 2025 , then I will decide what to upgrade to, everything is fine for day to day use. HTH

0 antivirus 0 update (just the one required for some peripheral on driver setup), only firefox with ublock origin and noscript + simplewall. I don't think win 10 or 11 is more secured, because they are more widespread and because if you click on the wrong link you are contaminated. this is not related to os version; ublock origin & noscript help a lot to avoid mistake. AV are totally useless since 2010. they don't protect you, if you really want one better get an antimalware, and even now they are outdated.

I am an electronic music engineer, use win 7 everyday, for me is vital, i work with some old VST Plugins that are incompatible on win 10 or 11, some of them are 32 bit, i also use "jbridge" to bring them in DAW on win 7 64 from win xp, so i need and i am happy to continue to use it forever, im satisfied and this is my only possible setup, i don't want to rebuild years of work from zero, with the probability to lost my actual setup, made in years of hard work, i have dual boot, but i prefer stay on 7, tryed 10 i can't use it for my job, i don't want change hardware every 2-4 years,only lost time on it.

OS update is overrated. If one is using their computer for offline purposes, I don't see any reason to update.

Yes I still use seven I have a lot of different protection software and I have not had problems with infections... And there's not much anyone can do about the black box garbage built into our internet connection boxes routers and modems etc...

A little confused as to why antivirus, anti-root kit, firewall, and various other malware stopping software all combined are still not considered adequate... Point blank quantum computing will make any patching attempts completely pointless on any regular non-quantum PC... The real problem that I see was the intentional introduction of so many ports that are not properly controllable by the user... The only reason Microsoft ever did this was so they could mine personal information and in Bill Gates case he was targeting minors to try and identify potential sex slaves. Gates has been heavily involved in human sex trafficking and factually he was already captured and executed at Guantanamo Bay. They have a lot of clones running around claiming to be gates but the original was caught tried and executed this goes a bit beyond what you discuss here but maybe considering what gates was really caught and tried for, just maybe you should be bringing that issue up...

I still use windows 7, only to experience old games. I have an anti-virus, a firewall and spyware protection. I also set all of my browser settings to as strict as possible and try not to do any important tasks.

If its not broke why fix it? Windows 7 is simple, reliable and user friendly and Windows 11 is anything but that! Why isn't there any outrage among Windows 7 users that Microsoft are pushing us into a corner?!? I know people that still drive 25 year old cars, those cars have served them well and got them from a to b all their lives. I'm sure we won't agree that it would be unfair to force those people to get a more 'advanced car' that they hate using...
