Get a step counter and count up all the wasted steps for things you forgot and had to go back and get etc... You will find half the time you spend tarping and securing loads is wasted time. Eliminate those steps where possible. Grab a stack of rolled straps. More than you need is fine because you will always be walking back toward the cab of the truck when you're done anyway. That's probably 2 minutes right there alone.

Been a while, but... TL;DR, I'm not at Swift anymore. I went to Western Express for a bit, left them over legal concerns regarding some of their policies. Left the industry for a couple months to make ends meet while I figure out my next driving job, didn't find anything on the civilian side. So I enlisted in the Army, 88M (motor transportation operator), and I ship to basic training next week. Glad to see that things are working out for you, though

Can I still do my 3d arts while as a Trucker if there is time to do it. All I need is 20 hours a week or less up to 5 hours a day? By the way, it's a hobby of mine.

Hey 50 plus, I'm 21 and was going to start out at swift, I use to work at the ATL terminal as Diesel tech with AK and the crew , But who would you recommend as a mentor ??? I want to train at the Utah Facility and when I turn 22 try to Go to TMC Transport for flatbed

Hey 50. Are the straps all the same length or are there varying lengths of straps?

Saw elsewhere someone had the idea to use flatbed straps to clear snow off the top of a trailer. Thinking about trying it
