The area opposite of the big storage tank just needs the topsoil removed and gravel filled in. Same with a path towards the back where all the tractor implements are stored. You're never growing grass in these areas cause its always being driven over.

Have you considered a hussler or other type of bale unwinder I use a hussler and can spread 1 bale over 170ft with my weidemann 3080 very handy piece of equipment

Has it been 4 years since you first baled the golf course field? Good grief time flies. I had already been watching long before that and remember clearly you going into the field and guessing how many bales you would get out of it. I'm glad to hear that Andrew is doing well. I realised recently, that I share both of your names. I always think of Tom as Tom and I never pay attention or use my first name (it is effectively my middle name) and I'm called Andrew by all and sundry. I am actually Thomas Andrew so I have both your names. Big whoopie dos and all that, but I am amazed how I never thought about it until after years of watching you! Now you all know that I am a dozy so and so. You'd be right.

The owners of the golf course field would probably loose less money if they drained the field, cut the hedges and trees back with a tree sheer, widened the access gates.
Then rented it to Tom to grow his rye grass on for £200 per acre.
Instead of creating another golf hole.

I thought those bales were going to only fit for the compost heap they looked so damp!

If you get three cuts of quality grass off the field I say that’s a win. That way the field will get some use out of it and you’ll have good bales, to sell or to feed to stock that need it. Of course you will weight the cost of seeding and spraying vs the costs of the bales….
