I so appreciate your months of the year and day of the week comment. My kindergartener does not quite get it, and I was genuinely surprised. Glad you said that. (Also, my daughter totally does that with reading!! Going through the motions on things I know she knows😅🤣)

My youngest loves sand tray letters!!! I did it with my older kids but it was easier with her!!! All my kids wanted to count on both languages and my youngest wanted to count in 4 and I don’t know French or Italian but as my older kids speak them she’s picked up on them!!! We start week days in preschool!!! We are learning a lot about Japan at the moment as my friend who is Japanese is over!!!

Oh my goodness, congrats!! So excited for y’all! Growing and won’t be 7 anymore. Lol. Can I ask where y’all are living overseas currently?

How funny that your body responds like that when it's pregnant!?! Mine did the most bizarre responses - only pregnancy hey! haha I LOVE that you're adding 3 languages into your lesson - such a gift that you're finding ways to incorporate foreign language into their days! x

Yes to all of the Allen Say books! My son also loved the Manjiro book, and really all of the suggested picture book biographies.

It's very encouraging to hear you talk about how your son can be reading really well one day and then not able to concentrate and sounding words out wrong another. My son does this a lot too and now that you say it like that, it is definitely when he's more distracted or just not able to really concentrate that day for whatever reason. Thanks for sharing! Beautiful Notebook! The idea of you "modeling what notebooking is" is excellent. I am a first time homeschool mom and I love the idea and we did try Beautiful Feet Early American History for kinder (which we didn't' get far in) so I knew I needed to/wanted to do this. So helpful. I'm also using Gentle + Classical Primer (also did not keep up with that! Bit off more than I could chew this year :).
