I saw this movie when I was little and I remember how Titanic left a huge impression on me. A magnificent, beautiful, exclusive ship. Then I often drew this ship: sailing, sinking, breaking, sunken. After all these years, Titanic still means something to me. Now, as an adult, I delve deeper into the movie about the words when the iceberg warning was given, and the captain continued to increase speed. When you think about it, it still had time to react to the iceberg and was just barely able to avoid the collision. Even though this movie is still about love, you also understand after a while what he wanted to explain: there was a divide between the poor and the rich. Jack was poor but rich on the inside, enjoying the little things in life, while Rose was rich but unhappy on the inside. Money does not always bring happiness. And every time it grabs the heart. Somehow it makes you understand, appreciate your own relationships while we are young, because at the end of the film, looking at photos of Rose's youth, you still understand that we will all grow old, but we will remember the memories of our youth

Then they would have plowed right into it head on and the nose of the ship would have been damaged but the rest would not have been damaged the way it was now. And it would most likely have stayed afloat since it would probably only have damaged 2 compartments, if that.

I stick to the theory that it was staged for obvious reasons, and certain people weren't all that unhappy about seeing certain other people disappear from the face of the earth in something they could call "an accident".

BIG blooper spotted!!!! That iceberg is on the starboard side. When he yells hard to starboard, the pilot turns the wheel hard to the left. On a ship, Starboard is right and Port is left. The commands and the reactions are both opposite what they should be. But I still love this movie. (I didn't spot this blooper until about the 500th time I watch the movie!)

this is a very good scene. however i think the whole horizon is just too perfect - a perfect stary sky and a perfectly plain ocean without any other iceberg or floating ice around far away, and we all know that the titanic got herself in an icefield. they should at least have added some ice around the berg, far away on the horizon, this looks a little too unnatural and artificial

I’d really like to see a movie focusing on the ships that were around the Titanic when it was sinking especially the RMS Carpathia. It came across numerous icebergs when it was journeying to the Titanic as quickly as possible in order to help them and successfully dodged every single one of them. Just imagine how famous a movie like that would be.

Just struck me, when the first mate yells hard-a-starboard the helmsman turns full left. Thought that was a movie mistake (which would surprise me) but read up on it, apparently the orders were given based on "old sailing-ship tiller movements". Won't quote all of it but personally, I'd have crashed straight into the iceberg. Thats how convoluted the damn thing is. Say "left", God damn it.
