in your country the second gen seems only $20 more expensive but here in Australia, the 2nd gen is $220 and the new usb-c is only $140, so we are talking $80 difference. May not be alot if you are buying an ipad and a pencil, but we are talking students here, they can just save enough to buy the ipad and after that their bank account is probably non existent, so in my opinion even one dollar makes a huge difference. Adding on, if its just a pencil to write notes, why even bother spending more. If you are an artist that is an entire career, so you need to invest properly, but if you are using it to write notes to study or use as a daily thing then dont do it if you were actively saving for months. Not worth working extra hard to come back after the sum of money you just dropped.
Ответить...And I just received the Gen 1 for a Christmas gift. 😅 In my mom's defense, she doesn't know one pencil from the other. She just wanted to surprise me with a pencil for my new iPad. She's great, but not tech savy.😁
ОтветитьAmazon “apple” pencil (as of today) is just as good. I compared it to my daughter’s real one and there is literally no difference. It does have wireless charging and gesture support. $28 cdn.
ОтветитьI have the iPad 10 generation ,and yes sucks the I pencil fist generation doesn’t make sense….. and suck to plug all the time when you turn off your iPad 10 off.. but on the comment that you said to upgrade your iPad just for a pencil that will be nice if you have the money !!! , I save a lot for this equipment and it hurts , unless you give me a new iPad I can upgrade the I pencil. Ps love your reviews
Ответить🤬 mine doesn’t work
How too t 🤬🤬🤬
You know what , I’ve been sober for about 5days Now… n I’m starting to think the whole World is High Because WTF I thought this was a joke !
ОтветитьSo I just bought the iPad gen 10 and asked for the Apple Pencil and they sold me the gen 2. So these are not compatible?
ОтветитьSuch a money scheme😂
ОтветитьSo wait, you save 30 dollars but lose all the useful features? Tf?
Ответить3 different pens by apple = greed.
ОтветитьI'll never understand Apple mfs
ОтветитьI'm convinced apple is just Mr Krabs with a touchscreen 🙄
ОтветитьBestbuy always have the apple pencil 2 on sale for $79..
Like right now😎
Im still confused
ОтветитьWonderful overview on the Apple pencil! What is the battery life on it? Also my iPads are in cases. How does the pencil charge when the iPad is in a case?
ОтветитьGreat, very helpful video! Thank you!
ОтветитьI HAVE A PENNN, I HAVE AN APPLE. HOOA!! APPLE-PEN!
I HAVE A PENNN, I HAVE PINEAPPLE
HOOA!! PINEAPPLE-PEN!
PINEAPPLE-PENNN, APPLE PENNN
HOOA! PEN-PINEAPPLE APPLE-PEN!!!
Will Usb c pencil magnetically connect and charge with the iPad 10th gen?
ОтветитьI get why you tend to cozy up to apple, but seriously, "one of the good quality of this apple pencil is that it is from apple", it's like watching a 24h news cycle, there is not enough happening so you just end up making stuff or hyping silly things.
I liked your videos on iPad tips & on the apps, but this is just hilarious
The non pressure sensitive pen needs to be below 50$
ОтветитьI'll explain it they want more money
ОтветитьWhat is that cover you have over your Magic Keyboard? Is that a skin?
Ответитьthe new one kinda feels like the cheap third party offerings... I got my sister a cheap 25$ ugreen one, that has magnetic charging, tilt sensitivity and works really well, all it's missing is pressure sensitivity and the touch quick action, but it makes up for it by allowing you to use the rear button for that purpose.
ОтветитьBro paper like thing you are saying is a no no. You are just going to worn out the tip of the Apple Pencil.
Ответить80 bucks ain't no cheap
ОтветитьIs there more ads than content in this video? Yes, yes there is.
Ответить👍👍video
ОтветитьProblem is not the device but the ridiculous price for the 5-7yr old technology they are using, I use all apple products but the apple tax has gotten to steep especially for throw away devices like pencil and airpods‼️
ОтветитьThis video is hilariously cringey. The spin to try to make this new, useless, inferior product a positive thing, and not just a ridiculously obvious cash grab, is jaw-droppingly astonishing. I suppose you should at least get some kudos for thinking up an outlier perspective to get those luscious clicks, tho. 👍
ОтветитьIf I were Apple, I would release this Apple Pencil with usb c but with pressure sensitivity and double tap while keeping the gen 1 until the iPad 9 is completely gone (after refurbished). The upcoming iPad Air and Minis will use the gen 2 while the upcoming pros will have a gen 3. My ideas for gen 3 are: magnetic tips, presentation tool (switching presentation slides etc. Top tap action button that is fully customizable. Continuity Pencil which allows the Pencil to be used on iPhone when iPad is nearby. Find my Pencil and speakers for system sounds. Mini built in mic
ОтветитьSo...another idiotic apple product?
ОтветитьIt would have been an option more pleasing to consumers if it had also been compatible with iPad 9 (for those who want to spend less).
ОтветитьYou gotta love how its the consumer that makes excuses for Apple's weird choices. Without a gun on our heads we are now convinced that its impossible to have just one "pencil" that works on all iPads.
ОтветитьThe Apple Pencil USB-C is designed to work with all USB-C iPads. If you desire to get multiple iPads, you can use the same pencil. If you have an iPad and don’t need the Apple Pencil 2nd Gen features, you can save by purchasing this newer one.
ОтветитьIf Apple was going to not make the new Apple Pencil have Pressure Sensitivity then they should have just included it with every iPad EXCEPT the iPad 9 . And discontinued that iPad and the first generation pencil and then if you really need those features make the consumer pay for the Generation 2 Pencil and drop the price down just a bit to $110.
9 times out of 10 most consumers would still go buy that Generation 2 Pencil because those extra features would be that important to them. So they wouldn’t need to really worry about sales. Just my opinion 😊
This is a stupid product. Gen 1 has pressure sensitivity which is critical for artists, this Gen 3 doesn’t have it, and is thus on par with cheap $20 copies which only have tilt sensitivity. Zero reason to buy this new Apple Pencil for $79 when you can buy one for $20.
ОтветитьGood video
ОтветитьI really think apple at this point can axe the 1st gen AP along with the iPad 9th gen.
ОтветитьI appreciate your review. This was refreshing and balanced. Other content creators were whining about this new product. I appreciate a no drama review!
ОтветитьThanks for the video! This newest Apple Pencil is so dumb! It shows we can get ALMOST everything for the $129 Pencil for $79. I can’t believe pressure sensitivity and a touch sensor and wireless charging on the side cost $50 more especially since Apple has had this tech since 2018!! The newest Pencil should just include ALL the features for $129 including the type-C port. They don’t need an adapter from Lightning because everything else is USB-C now anyway.
ОтветитьIf it's a serious consideration for someone to save 20 to 50 dollars on a stylus, the might be better off buying a cheaper Android tablet in the first place.
ОтветитьEasy solution to the Gen 1 Apple Pencil - get a great gripping cover. I actually use the same grip on both my Gen 1 and Gen 2 pencils. IMO coming up with yet another pencil is silly.
ОтветитьI feel like Apple as a company has become a bit messy in general.
ОтветитьApple should have included magnetic wireless charging on the 10th generation iPad so that all current generation iPads are compatible with the 2nd generation Apple Pencil. Done!
ОтветитьTotally agree that there are too many iPad choices. One needs to go, as long as they don't touch my mini though. LOVE that thing!
ОтветитьIt seems the 1st gen pencil will be phased out now. Price of the new one is much better
ОтветитьWithout pressure sensitivity, it has no advantage over alternative styluses at around USD$20, which comes with USB-C charging, similar shape (so fits in whatever standard case pen holder), is magnetic, AND has battery indicator lights. I have one after my Gen 1 developed battery issues, and the accuracy is INSANE. Up to par with Apple pencil, with the only downside being no pressure sensitivity.
ОтветитьI really dislike the word “stylus”, it feels old and very outdated
ОтветитьThanks for sharing your thoughts. I’m fine with my Apple Pencil (2nd generation). Blessings on your day!
ОтветитьGet a third party pencil that does everything the best pencil. They're not trash.
