Bout damn time, I’ve been on the edge of my seat for this video. Grabbing the popcorn and patiently waiting for the winner.
ОтветитьI own both Evox 12s and 44g2s - your review is on point. I like them both, I prefer the sound and look of the 44g2s. But the Evox 12s portability is a huge advantage.
ОтветитьI have the 44g2 and i love them the portability yeah i see why ppl might doubt but in my opinion the 44s are a bit better and love the aesthetic of it and the quick set up!. Either one is a great choice.
ОтветитьNice video but when you review a speaker do it outside where sound cannot bounce off the walls and high ceiling and create reverb. As an experienced dj you know when people fill a room you have to push the system so outside in a field or parking lot can be a great substitute for that. Even when you go to trade shows you will find that "real" demo rooms have Benn sound treated and some will have pipe and drape as sound absorbers to act as bodies.
ОтветитьEnjoyed the video comparison.. I know you used the db meter but just hearing without that which would you say was louder with great clarity?
ОтветитьAs long as grandma ain’t complaining and people can still party
ОтветитьLove this comparison! Really hits home for me and you can’t go wrong with either! I learned how to carry that 44G2 sub from my Chiropractor 🤣 a year and a half so far and have not blown my intestines yet🤣🤣 thanks so much for the informative test and especially for the wife test as well! Sooo important and valuable!
ОтветитьDb es1203 for me has the best vocals and mid bass very punchy
Ответитьkeep and use one of each lol. Now let me stop by with my DB's lol
ОтветитьI want my 44s! 🤣. Solid work as always. 🎉
ОтветитьGreat review! You didn't mention bass performance? You said they are both 15". I'm assuming bass was equal? So are you selling the Maui? Seems like one speaker filled that space as far as volume and dispersion. Besides looks any reason to take two?
ОтветитьSounds Great!! Definitely RCF!! Wow the Walnut Grove Hall got Huge @aaronstrawn
Have a Happy, Healthy & Safe Thanksgiving to you and your family!!
I have 4 EV50's in white and I think I'll replace them with for 2 Evox 12's in white but I'm for sure keeping my 44G2's as the over all sound at high volume (IMO)is so much richer. I do about 170 weddings a year and I always bring a second guy. I also have a DJ van with a ramp if I'm solo and that's rarely. Great video
ОтветитьI Liked & also Shared your Video!! Great Video!!
Ответить44g’s all day. That evox I would never buy. I rather get 2 15 inch tops instead of
ОтветитьRCF Evox 12 vs Maui 44G2 vs Bose L1pro32.
Thi is the one i am waiting for!
9 seconds in and 😂lol
Ответить3rd hole 😂
ОтветитьHas anyone compared Maui with Bose L1Pro32?
ОтветитьIt’s loud. Singular. Imagine 2
ОтветитьBose vs Evox vs Maui
ОтветитьMaui!
ОтветитьThis was sooo cool and entertaining. Thx for making this! Great video!
ОтветитьPlease test the new RCF NXL 14-a and SUB 15-AX combo ! These are the unofficial successors of the EVOX12 !
Ответитьsorry i fell asleep around 12 minutes...which one won
ОтветитьCommon man put those head to head and see which one clips first lol
Ответитьlets be honest these speaker setup will never be as good as a normal pair of 15inch tops, good for small parties but not good for a big party
ОтветитьHow about the Bose in comparison?
ОтветитьGreat video!
ОтветитьAt the end of the day wich one is able to get the loudest?
ОтветитьTLDR: Aaron refuses to do push-ups
ОтветитьAARON!!!!
That’s 100% why I bought mine. I had heard and played through Rick Web’s Maui 44’s and they were awesome, but I’m a one man show with no trailer. The Evox 12’s sound close enough and I can get them in and out of venues (and my car) by myself.
My ears are in maui44 but the reality is rcf 12 evox is a lot friendly for my business at Wedding Dj's. Thanks great video, Amy don't kill him until he buy the ev 15 inches......😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Ответитьyes. and yes. if i had staff and vans and lots of help, heavier , louder speakers are no problem but i am mostly alone. weight and size are huge factors for me too. i like the fact you can move the top, they don't slide, they both sound good. i really liked the reach of the Maui though. I think you picked the right speaker for what you / we do. cheers on another good video. 👍
ОтветитьThe RCF tops sound more defined, clear, clean, crisp than the Maui, on the other hand the Maui sub siunds like it has more low end than the RCF sub, both are great on portability, size and small footprint, i do however like the RCF more for the reason that you can project the sound where you need to also i like the fact you could mount lighting on the speaker poles should you find yourself in a tight setup space, my final take is that both are great for small events, the 15" sub can give you good low end but in reality the 18" is my choice, collum speakers are great but id rather go with a pont source, 12" top with horn, plenty of headroom without compromising your PA, that's my opinion,
ОтветитьA selling point on the Maui is if you want to run it through a proper digital mixer, you have a sub out which allows you to have the mains eqed and compressed differently then the sub. Let alone just being able to mix the sub/mains volume how you want rather than how the manufacturer wants
ОтветитьMy friend has the 44's, we solved his speaker creeping problem with a couple of 2x3 utility mats from Lowes. Have to get the ones with rubber backing. I have the Evox 12's because I can't lift the 44' subs and the built in wheels make it so easy for a single person to maneuver. Great vid btw :)
ОтветитьI love Amy! Spoken like a true dj wife! She knows her ish!!!! You gotta bust out the Bose bro! Waiting to see if EV drops the 15inch version of Evolve
ОтветитьThat was me that said my 44’s were constantly moving. But I found the solution! White bathroom rugs I found at WalMart that are the same size as the sub and they didn’t move a bit!!!
ОтветитьI go for the rcf evox12 they sound pretty good
ОтветитьOk I'll wait for evolve 75
ОтветитьI have the sliding issue on the ld Systems subs overall, I bought a rubber mat to lay them on top so the sub doesn’t slide.
ОтветитьInteresting, but not unsurprising results.
I've always said that the RCF Evox 12 produce a more punchy bass than rumble bass. Which is something I really enjoy for most of my gigs.
That being said, I've coupled my bins a few times now (something which is an option you don't have with the 44's) and put my tops out on Gravity stands. All you need are longer speakon cables. When you couple those bins (under my booth) the bass is incredibly louder! Which I'd imagine is on par with the 44's.
I actually don't like the look of the 44's, straight down and into the sub. But, like the sound of speakers, this is totally subjective and just my opinion.
Because you're asking:
RCF for me.
Clearer, lighter (that casterboard is not included in the 100lb), less dispersed which equals less reverb in a room and thus keeping vocals clearer, no unnecessary bells and whistles that don't get used but could end up causing reliability issues and so on.
Everybody complaining about the price after being on the market for 10 years:
That's the definition of a quality pro audio brand producing quality products.
I know people who bought into d&b Audiotechnik 15 years ago and now selling those speakers and amps for almost the same amount they bought it for.
Same is happening to several product lines of RCF like the TT range over here in Europe.
So don't moan and complain about pricing.
Originally i was looking at a pair of EVOX 12. But now my plan is to get 2 of the new RCF Sub-15-ax and 2 of the new RCF NXL-14a. It’s still a column array system but much louder so I can do larger events in the 500-600 range with it. It also looks a lot better with similar setup time!
ОтветитьI have both and I think LD kicks evox 12 out of the game. I have tried both in multiple situations and for me the difference is day and night. I don’t care about the extra weight of the LDs, they’re just better, way better.
ОтветитьDid you shoot this with the Osmo Pocket 3? I'm considering picking one up and this footage looks excellent.
ОтветитьTo my headphones and your camera mic, MAUI sounded better, but you are right, if the difference is marginally small, then the less weight wins!
ОтветитьI chose the same g44 sounds good for new music and can get distorted when pushed rcf sound clear on mids specially for older music doesn't sound so processed the sound plus the weight and chaos simplicity for longer durability vs g44 with all bells
ОтветитьNice work. Been waiting to see this.
