Should You Buy a Hyundai IONIQ 6? Thorough Review By A Mechanic

Do the later Toyota RAV4 hybrids like the 2023 and 2024’s require the maintenance service on the cooling fan for the high voltage battery? You mention in a video that the intake duct is in the back seat area and Toyota has added a screen for the filter which needs to be regularly cleaned to ensure a steady flow of air to the high voltage battery. All Tesla has Auto Pilot, Sentry mode, supercharging network etc.

In my opinion this car looks horrendous, in fact the only kia/Hyundai car that looks cool is ionic 5. It's mind boggling how these two big car manufacturers managed to mess up all their lineup designs.

Would you buy this over a Toyota Camry / RAV4 for a every day car?

That is why you do not buy Hyundai if you want an EV. They couldn't even figure out how to make reliable gas engine cars. Buy a Tesla if you want a real EV.

On Limited version, motor noise can be adjusted. Reviewer may have had it set to loud. When comparing to Tesla 3, Reviewer also missed that Ionic 6 uses thicker sheet metal than Tesla 3. When closing the Tesla 3 hood by hand, it feels like an aluminum soda can that may bend easily if not careful. I found the Ionic 6 suspension smoother, quieter ride, and seats more comfortable than Tesla 3. The Tesla 3 does have better technology though.

Long story short if you can get a deal on this then yes

Well, a very thorough review so that’s appreciated. But from someone that test drove both a model 3 and an IONIQ 6 same day, the Tesla felt so cheap and just shutting the model 3 door made me think it was going to break off. The build quality is distinctly in the IONIQs favor IMO. And, I like actual buttons instead of 100% touch screen. Thanks!

Was behind one of these the other day my god it is awful looking from behind looks like the quarter panel was bent down from the edge of the deck lid to the outer in a radius with the tail lights following not pretty the front end looks fine but I’m not impressed with its looks
