Hey Kirk, the walls are beautiful and all the neighbors love the finished look, especially us! It was great meeting you, Jay and the crew. You're a very generous man, taking the time to video your work and then upload it for others to learn some of your secrets to beautiful stucco and plastering.
ОтветитьTruck repair is what i have done for union for 18 years made tons of money... VERY important to do maintenance to keep those trucks going to and from the jobs... never expect that nice truck to be Maintenance FREE... Haha...
ОтветитьKirk's the Best, please pass on these secrets to the kids so they can continue the instructional videos after you retire in 2055.
Ответитьpancakes finish looks good!
ОтветитьWould this be better with plaster weld?
ОтветитьIdk if i missed it. Are they're multiple coats applied and if so. How far apart?
ОтветитьGreat job guys!! 👏👏👏👏👏
ОтветитьWhy not direct appliant
ОтветитьCan I use a 60 grit sand paper to smooth over very small areas of stucco, but while is still not too solid (around 3 hours after application)? I'm talking an area of about 10"x4". If not, what would you recommend? Thank you for your videos.
ОтветитьI started wearing catchers kneepads because I saw you on another video explaining that and you’re right they are comfortable. Thank you.
ОтветитьHey Kirk I have watched every video you have made.
Some multiple times 🤭
I have never gone stucco ever.
My girlfriend lives right on the golf course, and her wall gets plastered buy everything including high-power sprinklers.
Her stucco was falling off in sheets.
After watching your videos, I figured out that someone didn’t clean up first I’m assuming.
So I removed majority of it with the power washer
And redid the base and the brown coat.
I did La Habra crystal white
In pretty brutal and conditions.
We live in Palm Springs, California.
It’s either do it when it’s 120°
Or do it when it’s cold and windy and we had pretty good rain this last winter.
I did everything by myself
And to say it was challenging, is an understatement.
Highwinds are normal here
But I had to dodge golf balls
Sprinklers
And HOA lol.
I wanted to send you some pictures and thank you for your big-time help. I would never of done it without you.
There’s a few side notes.
I found myself unable to apply and then have time to come back and finish the texture
And it’s a 70 foot wall I did both sides.
I know that you’ve preached no joint lines but that was going to be impossible for me
Or at least I thought.
After a lot of thought, and some failures
I decided to apply and finish at the same time with a red float.
As I was finishing
I had multiple people trying to hire me.
I think it turned out pro, but would love to hear your professional opinion if I can figure out how to send you the photos. And I had one question.
I am pouring a walkway along side, a cinderblock retaining wall that I just built.
That’s another first.
My question is, can I use some of my leftover Crystal light packets to mix into my concrete mix and make a cool white walkway.
And if so, do I just mix it like I did with the stucco it seems to make sense I mean it’s Portland cement, right?
Thanks in advance I hope to send you some pictures
You might even want to hire me lol
Did u have to add weld crete?
ОтветитьWhy did he not dig down like 4 inches and put a drop cloth down. Just saying
ОтветитьWait is that loooooo in the background
ОтветитьLIVE LONG & PLASTER
Ответитьsuper job.
ОтветитьI like to fix everything myself just like Kirk. I don't trust others who lack common sense and a love for the job. Any job.
ОтветитьThanks so much for this video! Great work. Can you do this same process over a painted retaining wall made of cinderblock?
ОтветитьDo you apply Toro bond or any glue before to apply the scratch? What can????thank you.
ОтветитьYou seem like a great guy to work for
ОтветитьSo much personality lol love it brother, thank you for the video. Very helpful.
ОтветитьMmmm good donuts in San Anselmo.
ОтветитьYou’re the best Kirk!!!
ОтветитьHe never explains the mix.
I’ve watched 10 videos. Says he’s gonna and then stops
Lou 👍
Ответитьwell done!
ОтветитьYou are a trip!!! Soooo easy to listen to.
ОтветитьAwesome work as always.
ОтветитьHow much would it cost to get something like this done to your house?
ОтветитьI want helper like that
ОтветитьGood Day Sir !
I think your son should help you do the physical work & have your young daughter do the video camera .
.....You doing all the physical work ... just doesn't seem wise ...
.....Your Not a Spring Chicken .....With All Respect ....Take Care ..
What a good teacher!
ОтветитьDid they glue these blocks together ? I don't see any mortar between them
ОтветитьIs cara de gato texture?
ОтветитьThank you for sharing!! Awesome video!! 😊 Also thanks for the suggestion on using the catchers kneepads and letting ppl know to try to stay off your elbow.
ОтветитьWhy not set up a mud board and stand labourer going back an forth is stupid and a bad use of time 👍
ОтветитьNever seen such a pro stucco enthusiast in my life tip of the cap 🧢 that accent is so Cali it hurts 😂 good stuff
ОтветитьHi, just a quick question, does there not need to be some kind of drainage for those flower beds filled with dirt? Thanks
ОтветитьA true East Bay craftsman.
ОтветитьMan...good tips about keeping yourself moving around. I am hurting my back just watching him, knees and elbows.
This is truly hard work but he made it look so easy!
They're actually is a temperature for mud. I don't care if you put it on a wall or put it in the ground as a foundation. Mud will freeze, which makes mud brittle. You can argue wrong all day but you can't argue right at all.
ОтветитьTrue I'm definitely getting them knee pads I hate the regular knee pads no matter how much money I spend it still slide down all no matter what those I'm getting like them oh by the way great video
ОтветитьJust saw the end Kirk, sorry for your belt brother, however it was a nice small story with a cup of coffee ☕ in the end.
Ответить03 30 early morning hours, nothing more soothing after a hectic week a video with Kirk Giordano plastering....my best greetings Kirk once again "the Greek"
ОтветитьGreat video. Just curious why there aren’t any visible grout lines between the blocks especially seen on the two columns? Thanks.
ОтветитьLooks good, thanks! Also I was wondering how to stucco/form a crown type of top on block wall (Pueblo Style?)
ОтветитьJust commenting for the algorithm 😎
ОтветитьKirk is kind of like the Bob Ross of concrete and stucco.
ОтветитьWhy is your mud so much more useable than an 80 pound of quickrete scratch and brown. Can I add more water to make it more like a loose paste . I used the max amount of water and it was very hard
ОтветитьHey Kirk. Looks like this wall was built with not mortar joints. Was it dry-stacked and then filled with concrete? Is this method you'd recommend for a block wall that will be stucco'd? Cheers from Glendale CA!
