Awesome stuff! Definitely gonna try to shorten the driver, and not beat myself up over it. You’re right…it’s a tough club to hit 😂
ОтветитьNice video I subscribed about a week ago I am also a lefty played 27 years straight as a single digit handicapper. That was a while ago I still have a clubhead speed over 100 mph now 71 years old so I will try the shorter driver shaft for consistency. By the way my lowest index was 4.3 now a 18 handicapper 😥 you should look into the NALG very good left handed competition.
ОтветитьJust curious, but were you at North Kent golf course driving range a week or two ago?
ОтветитьPretty sure you were playing behind me today but was too scared to ask if it was you. Did you see some goofy guy wearing jeans today?
Ответить2 part question. First, how did you know how short to Cut your driver down. Second how did you get a cut
ОтветитьReally good, unconventional ideas. I love how scientific you are about playing the best score. Reminds me of Bryson.
Not sure I am ready to fully embrace a shorter driver, but after how few fairways I hit yesterday it's making me think twice. I've been grinding really hard practicing, playing, and lessons, but I'm still struggling to lower my 16 handicap... Tough game, but I'm determined to get to single digits at some point!
I’ve been playing everyday for 2 months and my handicap has only went from a 32 to a 26. It’s very hard
ОтветитьThis is so useful bro. Thanks so much. How you present and edit this video is so classy👍👏
ОтветитьWould gripping down on the driver help?
ОтветитьShorter driver, consider a mini driver. Already manufacture to short shaft specification, no need to butcher your expensive driver.
ОтветитьHow you got down to 6 handicap was a lot of practice, the rest of the video is pointless tbh. Apologies but that's how I feel.
ОтветитьDo you play regular length wedges or the one length ones as well? Some good tips
ОтветитьHow much do the 1 length irons affect chipping around the green? Less takeaway in the swing?
Looking at the dark speed one lengths and intrigued to see how they go
Average golfers should not be posting swing advice videos. The course you play on looks extremely easy as well.
ОтветитьGreat tips. Totally agree, good golfers have to get their yardage down pat. A tip for you. Slow your back swing down a tad! Is shortening the driver much different to gripping down on it?
ОтветитьI'm really intrigued by the one length irons. I'm an 8 HCP been playing 3 years and irons are by FAR the worst part of my game. I like to joke that I'm a scratch short game player but a 15 HCP iron player and it's properly not far off :D My concern however are the wedges. A 7i wedge sound insane and my feel would be totally gone and I don't wanna lose my short game, but will the gapping be too far if they aren't the same length? Bear in mind, I only do full swing with my GW, my SW and LW are only partial/half swings. I suppose I just answered my own question when I think about it :p
ОтветитьBro those iron yardages are insane. If i hit like that I am sure I would be a 6 handicap, but no idea if I will ever get my 5 iron to go 200 plus lol
ОтветитьGreat video. Regarding putting - if you use the exact same method as for chipping (easy putt and double that stroke length), you have 2 standard distances. You should test those before your round. You then get e.g. 6 and 12 paces for the day, or 10 and 20 for fast greens. Then the rest of the day you base your stroke length for each long putt on that. Will avoid quite some 3-putts.
ОтветитьHow important are practice swings? I usually don't take em unless it's like partial swings awkward lies and chips
ОтветитьGood ideas. Thoughtful golfers can give great tips.
ОтветитьInstead of cutting down your driver just grip down an inch. I have a 46 “ driver and on tighter holes I grip down for more accuracy and let it buck at the end of the grip on wide open holes
ОтветитьLost me when you suggested we go out and purchase a 2 thousand dollar launch moniter. Know your key demographic.
ОтветитьSorry, turned of as soon as I heard “shorten your driver” 🤦🏻♂️
ОтветитьYeah if I had your mancave with simulator, I’d be on it everyday, I don’t practice therefore I will stay at my index of 24. My goal is to break 90 every five rounds.
ОтветитьYou tube yardages
ОтветитьWell done,be goog to know what your swing speed is and your club head speed are.
Ответить200 yards with a 7 iron? Not in the cold weather of Scotland 😂
ОтветитьAsxa lefty I have been dealing with the shanks lately.
Ответить200 yards with a 7 iron yeh that’s when I turn off your not hitting pga distance
Ответить24 handicap 365 days ago and now you hit a 7 iron 195?!. That’s less believable than your handicap
ОтветитьGood tip on the chipping prior to the round... gonna use that next round. Also going to co-sign on the launch monitor in the off season. I used the Rapsodo MLM 2 Pro this winter and I've noticed a huge difference in my first few rounds this year.
ОтветитьI feel like short game is where the 1 length irons lose me
ОтветитьWhat is your degree set on your driver?
ОтветитьIf im going to follow one length irons, which iron length should i copy?
My irons range from 3-9
Lost me at using a range finder for a chip. Gtfo.
ОтветитьThanks for the content.
ОтветитьYou must’ve had no impetus to work, you must’ve had a lot of free time
ОтветитьShould we shorten irons too?
ОтветитьGreat tips on this video
Ответитьfor me Driver is the easiest to maintain consistency with
ОтветитьThis is def the video that Biden watched 😎
ОтветитьGreat tips.
ОтветитьYou hit your 7iron 200. 😂
ОтветитьPING would disagree with you that research shows shorter drivers are better. There’s a reason Rory went back to the longer driver.
ОтветитьGreat advice
