Azog is a great design I just wish he was a practical makeup like the Uruks in Lotr. The hobbit movies definitely suffered from cgi overload just like the SW prequels.

What was the point of the battle? The dwarves didn't settle in Moria anyway

As much as I like this scene, I find it funny that a random oak branch is just conveniently sitting there in what looks to be a completely treeless field

This is what all dwarf lovers wanted. This is what I thought the hobbit movies would show. Only they showed 10 minutes of this in the first 2 movies. I want a live action TV show that shows all main dwarf wars/battles in middle earth.

In the battle of the five armies that why the dwarfs had a low numbers because of this battle I know about the rams if this battle dint happen there would of been more dwarfs

azog was the most successful villain in all these movies, he had just one goal to erase durins bloodline and he did it

The hobbit broke lore a bit here and there, but nothing so bad that it totally f^cked over the source material. LOTR did it less so, and both were good.
Rings of power completely said “fuck you, fuck the source material, take my woke ideology.”
I must thank them though, they made this trilogy age like fine wine.

I’ll admit I’m a massive Tolkien fan but the hobbit trilogy while flawed is certainly far from a bad trilogy.
I think the choice to bring Azog back was a poor one as in the lore he dies in the battle and is beheaded. This scene could’ve been used to setup Bolg who is a present figure in the book. None the less this scene is awesome

while I like the scene it was not a battle it was the end of a war of the dwarfs and orcs that lasted 9 years

Do you notice when the orcs are pushing the dwarves from the hill the scene is same as when in the lord of the rings opening when the elven archers are making orcs fall from the hill only its night and there is a elf host in front

They're lucky they didn't awaken that damn Balrog with the damn loud battle! They would all have been Balrog's meal

Unrealistic movie.. a man weighs what? 80kg? One of those orcs probably weighs a goood 20 stone solid how did men defeat then

as far as i remember I always wanted to be a dwarf king.

i cant take this scene seriously.. i mean theres that dwarf that is like yeah tell this story and i will look in the sky and pretend im not hearing but at the same time preteding like im hearing it and act proud about it.. i donno theres something i dont like about hobbits movies i feel like Thorin annoyes me
