"Why is it important to promote diversity within the police force?"

My answer to this question would use a quote by Sir Robert Peel, who founded the Metropolitan Police Service. He said "The police are the public and the public are the police".

I would explain that the United Kingdom has a very diverse society, with people from a wide range of backgrounds, and that this should be reflected in the composition of the police. When Sir Robert Peel said what I have quoted him saying above, he was referring to it not being a case of "us vs them" in relation to the police and the public.

I think this is a good quote to use, because it demonstrates to the interview panel that you've done your research.

Points to remember:

- Police officers are expected to do shift work – it is not a 9 to 5 job. Make sure you mention any relevant experience.
- There is a risk that you will be assaulted. Police officers have the same right not to be assaulted when they go to work as everyone else (and courts also take a dim view of those who assault police officers), but it is a possibility that you must be prepared for.
- It is not a police officer's job to beat anyone up – in fact, a good day for a police officer is when they don't have to use force!
- The terms "policeman" and "policewoman" have fallen out of favour, in favour of the gender-neutral term "police officer". The term "police service" is also considered preferable to "police force".

As with all jobs, you will need to be able to demonstrate to the interviewer that you have done your research beforehand. Many police officers here in Britain resign from the service shortly after joining due to not knowing what to expect.

I only wished you to have done this sort of about 50 years age you have have made thousand to understand their positions in long run. But still you have saved and take off lots of stress interviews for so many people including me .

Just crayon to what your doing we love what your doing with no end of it , everyday you have something new to listen too and all love watching your interviews even though have no interviews at all

I remember 3 years ago I went for an interview on the wrong day , a day before , I came here with all fears and I asked you what to do , you said that is the mistake should never happen but you nail it down that I should continue and go on Interview tomorrow as this will make me stronger and the employer would believe in advance that I definitely in needs of a job , off I went the following day for an interview again, 😂 I could not believe it they actually gave me a job as you had stated until now
Since then I watch as all your interview and I always share all your best interviews to my colleague labs and nurse in wards and they all love it once they got the job

This is my first job in the Police after working for the NHS for several years, and wanted a career change and have ALWAYS wanted to work for the Police. I did NOT think I would get the job as I have NEVER worked for the Police before. But truly I learnt they just want to see your skill-set and experience, and how you would handle situations and scenarios, not to catch you out (or else, why would they be hiring in the first place. Therefore, they need you to do well).

They told me my application form and my Interview was one of the best they have seen in a very long time, and they said I gave absolutely brilliant examples from my previous work experience in the Interview which also tied in with the current job role. They liked that I kept the examples relevant to the job description.

I am so very grateful to you for your videos and I am so very proud of myself for getting the job. I am a very proud public servant!!! I love serving the public and society as a whole. as i’m sure you are aware, the met police started doing the day one assessments online, i did mine a few weeks ago but i wasn’t given a timeframe as to how long it would be to get results back, do you know how long this is?

Can a police officially file a police report without a Police Case number ?

The only thing I disagree with this is using your hands when speaking to them. This is not only unprofessional but it’s very distracting

Today I passed my oral board interview and I can’t thank you enough for this video! Guys and gals if there is a video you need to watch before your interview it is this one!

I applied for the local PD in a small town of Texas and the first interview was with the Chief of police. I was very nervous but he told me that if I did well I’d be invited to the formal oral board interview. The confidence and knowledge this video gave me were key to landing the second interview!!!!!! I want to thank you for what you do!!! Keep it up!!! It works!!!
