Honestly? this is the lamest reporting ever. On what basis does he suggest that the Pridnestrovie border guards are acting for the cameras? Maybe the government of Transnistria actually does want to stop smuggling?

The problem with Transnistria is not what's going in , but what's going out...guns , amunitions and even dirty bombs and it had at the begining of the 90's mininuclear suitcasses bombs wich dissapeared...

kossovo had the right to declaration of independence but for about 23 years everybody say no to transnistria. We are all nothing but a bunch of hypocrites. Why dont we recognise them ??? Including my country (Greece).

EU countries and Ukraine dont recognize Transnistria as a state itself, only as a part of the Moldavian Republic.Only Russia does(as usual),mainly because Transnistria is a russian spoken region ...If one day Transnistria would be independent from Moldava ,would be a Satellite country from Russia as is Belorussia now.And of course will never be part of Europe.......

EUBAM never had an evidence about smuggling of arms or drugs from PMR (Transnistria) to other countries.
On the contrary: A mold. minister was paid from the mold. Mafia for transporting 200 kgs of snow (Heroine) from Ukraine to Romania.
Bravo Moldova!

I can't say her name, but you cannot be impressed by the blond woman who speaks excellent English and seems to be a customs official with integrity. She also very pretty. Hey Ms Name I can't pronounce are you busy Saturday night, maybe we could meet in Berlin for dinner and a film?

Well they were right about the cigarettes anyway! Funny how the whole episode was essentially a dud... no real evidence of rampant smuggling. Yet his closing remarks stated.... if this and that doesn't change, "smuggling will continue to be a problem". Modern journalism!!! Yay!!!
