HDFC ERGO Optima Secure VS Star Health Assure Plan | WHICH ONE IS BETTER ? | Gurleen Kaur Tikku

I purchased a Star Health policy for my parents for a premium of Rs 28,000 with a cover of Rs 10 lakhs three years ago. Last year, the premium increased to Rs 38,000 for the same policy, and this year, it has risen to Rs 49,000. Despite not having made any claims, the premium has nearly doubled in three years. I am considering switching policies and am leaning towards Care Health, which has quoted me Rs 32,000 for the same Rs 10 lakh coverage. Please advise on what I should do.

Hi, Modern treatments are covered in both but Star Health assure mentions only 12 treatments, does that mean it doesn't cover all modern treatments? Does HDFC cover more than those 12 or the same treatments?

Also, if I wish to port from Optima secure to star health assure, is my NCB/ plus benefit portable? If I port from 10L base to the same (10L), since I have been with HDFC for 2 years my coverage now is 30L (10 base + 10 secure + 10 plus benefit), would I get be eligible for 20L cover or atleast 15 L (as Assure NCB increases @25%) from day 1? Or will I have to accrue the NCB again with Star?

I was operated at Bangalore Baptist Hospital on1.1.2023, till now no response from you. I have claimed for ~219000Rs for my 500000Rs. Cashless Insurance, which Star health insurance regretted to cashless & asked for applying refund within 15 days. Till now Star health has not refunded a single Rupee. People should carefully select Insurance company with my seeing experience.

If unlimited restore is there (same person same illness bhi) then Why anyone opt for higher sum insured?? I will take only 5 Lakh SI.

I am in the stage renewal of hdfc optima super saver policy of my 3 family members. I did not avail any claim last 3 years.
2. Shall i renew or look for other policy?

3. I have providion of deductible of 25000. Can i change it to no deductible providion whike renewing?
4. Does it ptovide any benefit/ bonus for not availing claims for last 3 years while renewal of policy?

Star Health is a FRAUD company. I have purchased its OPD Silver Policy on Policybazaar. During policy purchase they showed 3 Cashless hospitals for my hometown. But after policy issuance not even a single hospital is available to book appointment. No Doctors available, but there is an option to add Doctor of your choice. For this you have to collect data such as Doctors name, phone number, specialization etc and after submission of doctor add request it says a waiting period of 7-8 days and maximum 5 doctors addition per month is allowed. If you can handle this much of headache buy Star's OPD policy at your own risk. Also if you email about your concern they never respond to it, only one system generated mail is received that your ticket is generated. But, practically nobody is going to help you. I have a very bad experience with Star Health. Even after 2 months of policy issuance I could not even book a single Doctor's appointment till date. If you have excess money go and buy Star Policy.
