Cam is showing his age (the youth he has left) on this one. 1999? 2000???? McNabb was a SUPER dual threat! He could easily rush for 100 yards and pass for over 200 yards in a game, damn near whenever he wanted to. He and the coaching staff intentionally made the decision to cut out all of the big runs that he was making to try to help preserve his career and longevity.

Now if you weren’t watching football through and through before ‘02 or so, you wouldn’t know that. You wouldn’t know how much of a beast Donovan McNabb was rushing the ball. In his prime, I would say probably the third or fourth greatest rusher of all the quarterbacks ever. Top five for sure, but he grew up fast and decided to cut out all of the running. He didn’t go to 4 straight conference championship games for nothing.

Brett Favre? He was a scrambler. Aaron Rodgers? He was a scrambler. Big Ben? He was a scrambler. Donovan McNabb would run you over. The strongest quarterback ever. He would juke you and go around you and run for a 40 yard rush. He’s done these things multiple times. But he matured early and understood he was a very good passer, and didn’t need to rely on his legs

McNair was the first power running dual threat but Cam is the best version there has ever been. Josh Allen making a good case.

2: Michael Vick - didnt play as many seasons to prove his worth but the highlights will show you
3: Cam Newton - man shoulda dove on the fumble 🤷🏼‍♂️ u definitely “needed security” for that fumble
4: Lamar Jackson - probably the most explosive out of all these guys but is a generational playoff choke artist
5: Donovan McNabb - not as flashy as most of these guys but still was great

HM: Randall Cunningham - potentially the most flashy with how he would hurdle people but he is largely not talked about because of how long ago he played and played for the Eagles, y’all stay hating on the birds.

I hope Hurts wins another one so people can see how much of a clown Cam really is for always discrediting him.
