Wtf is "the west"?
ОтветитьAlmost slanderous commentary.
ОтветитьWonderful. The time when Japan's then venerated ministry of trade and industry called the shots in industrial and trade policy before the liberal market reverse.
ОтветитьAnd then we made the decision to take the path to buying inferior products from China. Oh well.
Ответитьwow its funny that we still worry about that technologies will eventually bring up the unemployment rate
ОтветитьJapan is a fascinating place
ОтветитьTORA! TORA! TORA!
ОтветитьAs a 57 year old American man and a retired Army Infantryman, this documentary clearly shows how effective Japan can be when the population is focused on a common goal. If Japan ever decided to re-arm it’s military, stopping them would cost more than can be imagined. Thankfully, they’ve focused their goals on more common efforts….for now.
And no one is talking about a critical fact, Japan is a homogeneous culture/race, there’s no “diversity” garbage to slow them down which allows them the luxury of shifting directions with minimal effort. What I found interesting about Asian cultures is that they have an amazing ability to recall things they’ve been taught but, there’s a limit in their “original thought” process which is one of their few shortcomings. Now original thought these days is rarely a critical attribute a culture needs but it does allow a society to branch into a different direction, let’s take Elon Musk for example, he didn’t invent the rocket engine or the re-usable lift vehicle, NASA had all those designs well refined since the early 70’s. It’s with new forms of production and design where Elon made strides in, he encourages new ideas and critical reviews if it fails, he listens to people’s ideas on how to fix it or a better design. I find it amazing how Japan caught up with the modern western world since 1875, it’s like they did it without effort. Then we have China but they have lower quality standards where Japan focused on removing low quality from all their products to gain a market edge over other producers. So maybe if India and Africa ramped up their production to match that of China, maybe quality levels would also improve. If India focused on leaving their current culture behind, look out, it’ll be a wild ride!
Bryan Gould later returned to his native New Zealand and is now a board member of TVNZ
ОтветитьWe invented it, they perfected it... Lol
ОтветитьWe wonder why Russia , USA , UK (winners of world wars ) couldn't become top exporters of automobiles worldwide.
On the contrary their world war enemies Germany and Japan are the top exporters .
Japan and Germany lost the war,
but eventually they won the global car market.
A peaceful revenge !
The game they were playing is basically pickleball, invented in the US (Washington State) in 1965. I played it in the winter along with squash, handball and racquetball. Your basic company town. Quit your job and you lose your residence.
ОтветитьOne thing I will say about Japan is that they make the best cars in the world, Toyotas rock!
ОтветитьIn terms of well built and reliability products, the Japanese are ahead of times.
ОтветитьPlease keep your British supremacist view to yourself and use it only while healing your internal humiliation. Honda never copied any british or an italian product in bike industry. It triumphed with smaller, better and economical equipments. You said that 1 in 2 households have flush toilets, huh...guess what??now more than 85 percent of all households have seats with automatic bidets.
ОтветитьAwesome quality products!
Love Japanese products.
It was so amazing era for Japan, these were technologically 25-30 years ahead of the rest of the world, even the US looked so far behind them
ОтветитьThe racist connotations, bias, and unfounded rubbish are amazing 😅 How easy was speaking on TV back then. The version of today's trolls 😂
ОтветитьAre you Happy with the union? Where are my detonators McClane?
ОтветитьJustice against the west
ОтветитьDiscussing. To work for company making it rich and not enough. Company wants that U pray for it on your knees. Set them on fire
Ответить'We use robots to make robots.'
Bootstrapping robots?
How did the guy at 11.50 know about COVID?
ОтветитьBeing non Conforming is seen as anti-social in Japanese society, smells of Social Programming, also China.
ОтветитьJapan is an economic rockstar.
ОтветитьPneumatic animatronics I used to study.
ОтветитьThe newer robots look really close to human.
ОтветитьWow Japanese managers speaking English. How they have declined since then as a country
ОтветитьTwo decades ahead of french industry clearly. Ghosn ain't saved Nissan. He standardised the company to lower standards for rentability...
ОтветитьGot their women in the right place.
ОтветитьI remember the revulsion in the 70s of the slave like mentality of Japans workers..flash forward to Amazon workers pissing in buckets
ОтветитьI like using Japanese made products. Their products were ambassadors of their country. Same goes to Made in German products. Some of the hand tools I use were made in W. Germany, looks worn out but still works perfectly fine. Quality
Ответить@11.43 " Japanese car workers earn more money than British car workers."
That's understandable
Watching this in 2022 ! How it felt 40 years ago!! Japan was a booming industrial power the only Asian star who could challenge the west...
ОтветитьWe had CNC machine tools in the 70’s we didn’t call them robots
ОтветитьThe Mazak guy dismantled all the counter arguments in seconds.
ОтветитьIt makes me pull my hair out how western society loves to showcase the high standards and success of other cultures but actively neglects to uphold any sort of standards that are at odds with their own lazy culture.
ОтветитьA nation of Zombies, now . . . alas !
ОтветитьThese anchor ass is burning by jealousy 😂😂
