Singapore is giving me some dystopian vibes. This is massive consolidation of economy and absolute take over of a society by corporations. You can only become a salaried worker in Singapore, very hard to be an entrepreneur and shape your life the way you want. All the space is gone by rich people and large corporations, all sectors of economy have been taken by corporations, very little opportunities have been left for average people. Singapore looks like it's in late stage capitalism.

Starting a business in Singapore must be hard. The cost of living in any extensively built environment is usually high, because of the long payback period of real estate. Rent has to be high to make it possible for construction cost to be recouped within a person's lifetime. Rent in Singapore must be expensive, owning a house must be hard, rent must be driving up prices of everything, cost of living must be high. If you're a mid 30's guy trying to start a business, how do you get to afford the rent and salaries for people living in an extensively built environment when cost of living is so high? Starting a business in Singapore must be hard. It appears to me that it's no longer possible to make a lot of money in Singapore like those people who made money earlier.

The entire system looks like a giant entrapment that herds people like cattle. Why do I say that? The corporations own the entire system, so they shape the lives of everyone who lives there by their standards because they can only become workers. They dictate the education standards they should have, how they should live. Everybody has to live by their standards. The gap between rich and poor must be huge. Competition for jobs, space and opportunities in Singapore must be brutal. How in the world are these people happy? How's the mental health in Singapore, I am pretty sure the statistics must be bad.

Having a big country with so much space and in the mid stage capitalism so that the economy is spread out, giving people all kinds opportunities to pursue different lifestyle is really important. This consolidation and complete take over of society by corporations is not pleasant at all. It you deprives freedom to be who you want to be, it puts you in a straitjacket because there it leaves you with very little wiggle room to become something else other than a salaried worker.

It's my dream to visit a place like this😢

Beautiful city but there are way too many large roads and cars, the vibe is ruined by the loud car noises.

Singapore,s development in past 50 years is invincible , with large population density also it,s so well maintained and clean country, love from India ♥️
