It is a sad comment in Alex that he never comments on the great St Mirren and Aberdeen players that gave him the platform to get the Man Utd position. I watched Ferguson as a centre forward for Dunfermline Athletic under Stein and latterly at Aberdeen as a manager. A hat tip from the great man to the many great players that delivered his later success would not have gone amiss....

Im from Burton on Trent, nobody knows us, (im a madsive United supporter first and foremost) but 2006 we played United in the FA Cup.... we drew 0-0 which was amazing, they had Rooney and Ronaldo at our small town club... but i remember, during the warm up Park Ji Sung got injured and i was absolutely gutted i didnt get to see him play.

Would have liked to ask him about Wilf Zaha, who I think would have flourished under him as manager but never got the chance.
